These state that they have the overdischarge protection:
Excellerator Lithium CR2 Battery - 3 Pack
Edit: really does not say if they are rechargable...
i'd steer clear of those unless you can get the full specs from the manufacturer....
while only RECHARGABLES need the overdischarge protection,,, a true protected cell should also have OVER-CHARGE PROTECTION and SHORT-CIRCUT PROTECTION in addition to the stated OVER-DISCHARGE PROTECTION.
so unless you can verify that these batts have all three of the above mentioned protection methods built in then these are not FULLY PROTECTED!
as described on thier site,, these batteries are IMO little more than standard NON-PROTECTED CR2s.
in addition to the protected CR2s,,, you should be able to use (2) 14250 protected cells that madvapes sells. BUT THEY ARE ONLY 300mAh so they aren't much better than regular E-CIG batts,, but you could fit 2 in any mod that uses 2XCR2s or 1x14500 cells if you are that worried about protected cells.
personally i only use non-protected CR2s, but i have done MUCH research into these batts and how to properly care for and use them. I DO NOT ADVOCATE THE USE OF NON PROTECTED CR2s,, but if you do use them atleast do some serious reading about them and make sure you understand the risks and how to minimize those risks as much as possible!
