2 more to go.
I am waiting

I thought I'd read it was 15 -- I should be at 16 now - I do see where I have a spot for a user sig in the user profile and I did the copy and paste - but it's not showing up -- maybe I have to leave and come back in or refresh my browser - OR - if it's 17 instead guess I'll have to post another !

Well - I'll be darn - there it is and as can see - I've actually just made it through my 1st full 24 hours - I realize it's nothing compared to what a lot of you have accomplished - but let me tell you - the last time I went 24 hours without a cig was over 20 years ago, so I'm pretty darn proud of myself even though I'm having one heck of a time right now !

I more or less have been cutting back for around 3 weeks now when I got my first e-cig - but I know how I am - the cut back program is destined for failure with me - I honestly think I either have to go for it full force or bail completely.

Yes, I own and operate a full time photography business for the past 20 years. So far with the economy I"m hanging in there, but it's getting tuff.

Small world - I'm way up in the Florida Panhandle ( Destin ) in between Pensacola and Panama City.

The photography business has changed so much in the past 10 years, as you well know. It sure isn't as fun and profitable as it used to be. It seems every time a new phone book comes out there are another 10 pages of NEW photographers that don't have clue about photography or business, and they rarely last, however it sure screws up the market. Honestly, even though I love digital and know it's here to stay - in a lot of ways I think it's the death nail to our business. I'm glad I'm 55 and not just starting out - no doubt I'd be looking for another line of work if you know what I mean !

Our "meters" are exactly the same & I'm proud (and somewhat amazed) that I made it a whole 24 hours too. So congratulations, fellow Floridian! :)

I adjusted the script for this banner you speak of so it shows GBP rather than $ for us Brits.

I couldn't use a £ sign as it would not display properly.

I can't post links yet which is a pain but you can find the banner creation page by clicking on my banner below.

or go here:

Edit:
It has nicer icons than the others too.

My Dad was a semi pro shooter and that's how I got started way, way back. It sure isn't as fun as it used to be. It seems that everyone that has a digital Rebel gets a business card printed and now " I ARE A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER " if you know what I mean - we call them Moms With Cameras -

Hang in there - I hope you are doing better than me as far as not flipping out. I could literally eat a carton of Marlboro Reds right now -- I have some stronger juice in route and sure hope it gets here today - I'm hoping that going even stronger than the 36mg I'm using now helps.

I'm also planning on ordering an Xhaler this weekend - those higher voltage setups seem to be what I need. I have two screwdrivers and even though I like them as far as how they're built and work - I'm just not getting the throat hit I must have.

At any rate - hang in there - surely it'll get better !!

very close, my Dad, uncle photogrphers even my Grandad he use to work with those instant cameras with all the liquid inside,I also use it when it was needed back in Cuba, and believe me there are a few ones alive still in Cuba.

I still have quite a bit of my medium format equipment - I should dump it before they become completely obsolete -- from what I hear Nikon is only making 1 film camera now - I have no idea why Canon is still making several.
I knew digital was gonna take over really fast - several years back - Kodak wrote in one of the photo mags that if you weren't shooting digital or moving very fast into that direction - you better find a new horse to ride - that pretty much summed it up - and they were exactly right.

Photography has been pretty good to me over the years. I rarely shoot anything anymore unless I'm getting paid - that's sad, but that's what turning a hobby into a job does to you I guess !

I guess it's different for everyone, I stopped analog's the day I bought my first kit.

I didn't miss them much at all and when I tried a drag on one a week later I thought it was horrible!

Same with the wife too.:)
