finally made an rba build that taste better than a prebuilt. First off I think my main issue was the cotton that comes with the crown rba, totally sucks, I ran and grabbed the pad that came with my kanger kit and the cotton was fluffier and tasted like nothing. This is my first Clapton build and I wanted temp control so I used a 26ga titanium and 32ga kanthal. I order NiFe30 and kanthal 34 for my next so I can dry burn but this coil rocks on my crown. I have a evic mini setup and I set the tcr manually to 366 because that's what the steam app said... Then I realized that's what ti is anyway haha. Only problem this coil is hard to jam into the rba. At first I had trouble with the coil not fitting, I finally got the leads not touching the coil and a nice coil heating up inside out, but then it was protruding to high up and touching the Chimney and either shorting or running .9 ohm... I hope I didn't smoke any crown tank while I was figuring this out. Thanks for reading my rant and any suggestions are welcome!!

I bet you think you were the first person to look at that tiny deck and think "Yep, I can shove some clapton in that".
I did too. Lol.
Vertical builds on that thing will just dump juice in your mouth with a big coil. I know first hand. You might as well be using a straw.

Build your coil and bend the legs at a 90 degree angle right beside the coil so that both legs are parallel. Now bend them in the middle of the coil so they stick out where the screws are.

Ignore how crown says to wick it because it's wrong. Not enough airflow.
Now take a big wad of wick and insert. Cut it so it's sticking out an 1/8th" past the deck assembly on both sides. Then bring down the cap thing.
If you did it just right the cap will hit the wicks on the way down and cover the juice holes and pinch some wick between the cap and the deck. Cut that off and screw it in.

I'd recommend a better rta. The jankey crown rba and the lack of a "lock resistance" feature on the eVic resulted in very erratic behavior in TC.
The 510 connection, the rba and the screws holding the legs all add up to a poor electrical connection for TC.

If single coil is what you want, the Wotofo Serpent has a massive deck. I was putting massive builds in it.
If dual coil, I'd get a Griffin 25 or the mini.
