I've been doing this for close to seven months now. I started on an eGo batteried top coil clearo. Almost 2 months ago, I started using another kind of tank. Bottom fed, VDC atty. I'm using 900 mAh eGo batteries with that tank because the extra length of that battery moves the 'balance point' a bit further from the tank end of the rig. I was using 650's with my original plastic tank though.

When I first started I kept with cigalikes for about six months! At least they were V2's and not the stupid gas station crap. Where I live there are no vape shops, you had to get ALL your information from the Internet, and no one around here vaped. Finally I herd of ego's from YouTube, stayed with that a few months and finally moved up to mods and RDA's. It was a long hard road without vape shops, but so worth it!

I was a heavy smoker and quickly moved from cigarette-like to egos style because of battery life. But then I quickly moved on to box mods which I found that I preferred. Since I started using a reo (almost a year ago), I have stopped looking for what I will be needing next. But I am still grateful to those ego's and I know many, many prefer them. I am just glad that there are so many choices now. There really is no reason for vaping not to work imo. Heck, I am proof of that.

So to answer your question. . . about 7 months I used ego style batteries.

More than 3 years in and still using ego batteries on Kanger T3S. KISS (keep it simple, sir).
8 months in and using Ego 1100mah batteries and Kanger T3s. Keeping it simple and low cost. I did upgrade to an Istick 50w for more battery life.

Still use this setup a lot, great setup in my opinion

I used an ego type for the first few months...it got me off cigarettes. After I transitioned to more advance devices I kept it charge up but it was seeing less and less usage. I recently gifted it to a friend who was curious about making the switch to vaping. He assured me that he will pass it on to someone else when he outgrows it.

Hmm had not thought about the balance point thing. Had to check the balance on my Ego clicker style VV 650 ma with Evod tank. Still ok.
I moved mostly from 808 threaded ego's and clearos to evods lately. Been vapin almost 4 months. Still use my 808 stuff about 1/2 the time. Will likely pass most of it off to another convert in the future.
I may get an Istick but have no desire to sub ohm or use the large mods.
I mostly moved to the Evods so I could rebuild my coils and save money.

My mother only uses 650 egos after 3 years. She finally moved from cartos to tanks this month when her supply ran out!

My dad is the same way. He has watched me migrate from one device to the next, all the while chuckling and giving me that knowing smile as he puff away at his eGo. I say, if it works for him (or you), why change?

My daughter and I quit smoking around 9 years ago, not by choice. We simply could not afford it. Around 3 years ago, the desire to smoke again became almost overwhelming due to stress. My daughter had heard about ecigs, and we did some research. We hemmed and hawed for a few months. One day, she called me and said she had about had it, and she had purchased a Blue disposable to see if it would help. I told her to get me one to try. The Blus worked. No more desire to smoke.

We used cigalikes with cartos at first. About a year ago, we switched to Evods with either Evod Glass or Protank 2 Minis. We are still using, and enjoying the Evod 650 batteries and the tanks that we have. We have no immediate plans to switch to anything else. Once in a while, especially when my NY Rangers are in the Stanley Cup playoffs, I get the urge to get something like an MVP or an iStick for the longer battery life, but we are usually pretty content with what we have. It does the job - keeping us from starting to smoke again - and is relatively easy to maintain and replace.
