So this is my first post on here. I've been lurking and vaping off and on since 2009. Love the forum and the attitude of tolerance. It's refreshing to see such positivity on a forum.
Anyways, I have an omega 18650 mech (fasttech) and I'm running a 1.5 ohm coil on a smoktech mini rda. I'm using the batteries that came with my lavatube until my vtc5's and 35 amp LG's decide to show up. They're labeled as dishy 18650-a 2200mah. The very limited amount of information that I was able to find on these suggests that they have a 5 amp c-rating. Fully charged, this is almost a 3 amp draw, not accounting for any voltage drop.
My question to you fine folks:
Is having only a 2 amp buffer enough to use this safely, or am I playing with (hopefully not literal) fire? I'm sure I'll never get close to the limit on the sonys or the LG's but I was curious about the amount of amperage padding that would generally be considered safe.
Thanks! And I'm happy to finally be posting after all these years.
