So, I believe my research and learning is on par. Heres my setup.

Nemesis Clone
Sony VTC4 18650 batteries
Intelicharger
Plume Veil rda clone
Multimeter
Ohm Reader Box
screwdrivers, drill bits, kanthal, organic cotton.

What I take on the go cause im a newbie
Multimeter
Ohm reader box
Kanthal
cotton
Screwdrivers, drillbits.

I make sure my batteries are charged, from the intelicharger. Store them inside a plastic case inside my VapeKit. When using in my mod, I check the voltage every half hour almost to make sure I switch at 3.5v. I test for shorts prior to use, on the multimeter and for 15 minutes on my regulated mod.

my question is, if I wanted to go, say .4 ohms. Everything my research tells me says it should work and still be as safe as a mech mod can be. The amp draw at full battery, and at 3.5v when I pull them is within the limit of the 30amp limit. I'm just curious as to if im missing something, only issue is my regulated mod cannot be used to test my RDA at sub ohm. So id be strictly using the ohm reader box. Any helpful hints or suggestions? .4 ohms is my target. But what about .3? .2? Just curious as to whether my math and research is cotrect. Would rather ask than ruin my mod or my hand/face. Thanks guys!

Thanks SO MUCH for the quick reply! And thanks for the reassurance. I checked the amp draw at .3 and .2 ohms, its still within the limit. But I would like to know any hidden risks of being that low. If done that low its mainly not gonna be a constant use, more of a parlor trick for my family and friends at dinners and holidays, for some fun cloud blowing. My sub ohm adventures are mainly because I do not have the funding for all the fancy 100 watt regulated mods, and such. Mechsare just less costly and honestly feel like less hassle, seeing as theres no circutry to mess up.

I agree, sounds like you have the right equipment and are trying to vape safe.

Only thing I would add would be to use 4.2v in your calculations and not 3.5. That way you'll have the greatest margin for safety. It's what I do and the advice I see given on the forums the most.

As for how low you can go, well I'm never going to say anything is perfectly safe. I usually stay above 0.3ohms, but that is just where I feel comfortable - add in the fact that I find the flavor and battery life drops off significantly below this (maybe it's my build, I dunno) and I see no reason to drop lower. This is my personal opinion and of course your experience may be different.

If you type in 30amps and 4.2 volts into your ohms law calculator, you'll see you can go lower than 0.3ohms.

One point here is how much faith you have in your resistance checker to give you a reading that is accurate. As you can see using your calculator, as you go lower, the accuracy of your resistance checker becomes more and more important so 0.05ohms can make a difference.

Thanks a bunch for all the replies, I say .4 for the fact my friend uses a .4 build on his mech, and the hit feels amazing. I smoked Lucky Strike unfiltered, till I was saved by the vape goddess. Been clean off analogs for about a month. But the throat hit is what I like, not really a flavor guy at this moment. More into the mint flavor, and even if its a subtle mint but a Mack truck throat hit, im in. its how I smoked analogs. Once the hit feels too much. I set it down till I need the nic fix again.
