I had a hornet and I also have a cyclone that unloaded sent me to check out. The cyclone seems higher quality to me. If not for the RM2 arsenal I have, I would get some cyclones, but i prefer bottom hole bottom fed (rather than post fed) attys like RM2 / chalice. I also think cyclone looks nicer than hornet.

The Cyclone is nice, I've only got Era clones so it wouldn't be fair to compare them. I do have an RM2 and so far prefer the Cyclone. It has to do with how I like to setup my attys. I like Nextel wicks long enough to have the tail in the bottom of the atty. I like to have a small pool of juice for it to sit in. The juice comes out a hole part way up the positive post. When you squonk it fills it up and sucks it down to the level of the hole leaving just the right amount of juice for me. The coil and airhole are high enough that you don't have to worry about juice getting to either of them. It's a little smaller than the RM2 and actually sits down in the drip well. It's easy to index the coil with an oring under the atty and the top cap is held on with two orings, you can line it up easily and it won't turn on you, also it won't come off in your pocket or grabbing it. The RM2 I haven't had long enough to get it dialed in perfect. It is working great but I gotta do a lot more squonking with it.

Edit: What part of KY are you? I'm right across the river from Henderson, in E'ville.

I have the ERA and the Hornet and received my Cyclone yesterday. From what i understand, the Cyclone has upgraded insulators and a slightly curved deck, which I guess passes for a juice well. The only other difference I can see is it is a pop on cap instead of the screw cap on the ERA and Hornet, which means you cant use the Cyclone cap on the other two attys. Size and layout are identical but damn, this Cyclone is good looking. Stuck a coil on it yesterday and its basically the same procedure as on the ERA. The best thing about the Cyclone though is you can get the Airflow Control Cap. Allows you to adjust the air holes by simply twisting the cap or drip tip. Easier to use than the cap on the Trident. Based on what I see, I would say if it wasn't for that cap, the ERA/Hornet and Cyclone are almost exactly the same, performance wise.

Hope this helps.

Forgot to mention, I got my Cyclone with the positive post kinda level with the bottom of the 510 connector. I was worried that it wouldn't make contact with some of my mods. According to the Facebook page, you should be able to lower the post by hammering on it lightly (their words). Tried it but I couldn't get it right. Didn't want to force it on a brand new atty either. So far it works well with my Provari and Roller. Just something to keep in mind
