dwcraig1....why don't you cut the insulator parts that are sticking out? I mean the Fogger v4 doesn't have the insulator sticking out like that and it works just fine.
I believe that underneath there is a large hole in the center of the deck that encompasses both sides. I didn't take it apart as yet. Also I am not bothered by the insulators being plastic although everyone else seems to be though. Just saying.
I will probably end up having to do something with them someday, maybe by then I'll have something figured out as care is required with them.

I was wondering why they even had the insulator sticking out like that... but now it makes sense.

I think the way it has 3 small air holes instead of one large hole (each coil) is a good part of why it works so good, this thing is causing all my other atomizers considerable embarrassment. It vapes like what I would think A dual coil Taifun would vape like.
Murphy's Law will come into play when other start buying these (the insulator)

I received my 2nd D-eagle today from FastTech, only four days from acceptance to delivery. Upon opening I found the glass tass had been broken. It was probably broken by the supplied little screw driver as it had poked through the plastic bag. It was just last night that I learned it was glass but today I would have found out anyway...LOL
A ticket has been open with FastTech, they're real good about taking care of this kind of stuff.

The plastic insulator on #1 is still intact BTW

I've made 65 orders with FT, this is my 13th ticket, the previous 12 were handled quickly and to my satisfaction. What can I say?

i really cant be too harsh....first time ive had to complain to them.....6th order....

i think i will get both....i like the fogger and the kayfuns are getting on the light side

i really do like the looks of the channels on the eagle

The D-eagle vapes pretty much like Kayfun or Taifun but considerably more robust. Like a Taifun on steroids, it's very different from Fogger or Aqua, those are much more airy. My Foggers and Aqua's vape more like drippers with tanks, big air, big clouds.
D-Eagle...big flavor...descent clouds. Now if one was to make it more airy.....

i think i might really like it......ive drilled out the taifun and run .7ohm in it, so it performs very well for a taifun.
you are spot on about the fogger....run .4ohms in it....ive found that my vaping habits with it are like a dripper.....hit it for awhile then dont touch it for a few hours.

do you think there is a way to drill it out? for more air?
how is the temperature of the vape?

It only has the three air holes on one side on the outside. The part beween them could be Dremeled out I suppose and the 3 holes on each side of the insulator would be no problem to enlarge. When I get word from FT regarding how they are going to proceed, I figure they'll replace just the tank, then I will tear down the base of the new one to see whats's what.
Temp, well not hot anyway @.07Ω

While looking at my D-eagle with broken glass tank I came up with a possible fix but have no plans as yet to do it 'cause FT is sending me a replacement tank. It may just be the glass part that they send as it does disassemble. Inserting the tips of nettle nose pliers into the fill holes and firmly holding the tank body and twisting the pliers will break the tank top loose from the tank.
The plastic tank pictured is from FastTech, it's for a Kayfun, it's 22mm diameter is correct but it's too long. My approx. length it needs to be is around 28mm. I haven't figured just how I can cut it yet. I will post exact length when I get the replacement from Fasttech.
I shall be checking on the size of other atty glass replacement tanks to see if there's a match(found none) as well as IBTanked.

$37.50 for min. 3 tanks @ IBTanked 22mm x 1mm x ??mm

Well I ended up cutting that FT Kayfun tank down to 28mm with a 32 teeth per inch piece of broken hack saw blade then finishing the edge on sand paper on a flat surface. I'm vaping it right now.

It appears to be a crack in the upper left of the window but it's just the edge of the air bubble.

The new version at FastTech has a glass liner for the tank, the older more expensive one is a plastic of some sort. Which is what kept me from trying it before. Now at a lower price and with a glass liner, I'm going to get me one.

Nope, the older model had a glass tank also, read farther back in this thread where my second one's glass arrived broken and I modded a Kafun tank to use till they sent a replacement glass.

It may have been the plastic insulator right under the coils as that stopped a lot of folks from trying it.
