I'm jealous! Everyone else is coughing up gunk and I haven't yet! I keep thinking I'm doing something wrong because I haven't seen it!x

Don't be.. :p After how long I had smoked (36 years), and What I smoked for the last 4 years (little cigars - yes.. full inhales like a cigarette...), I expected to cough up a tar pit.. heh.. no where near, so I suspect it will hit me hard at some inconvenient time in the near future..

I've agreed to go jogging soon...even bought me some shoes, jogging pants and t-shirts (boy is this vaping thing getting expensive!) so hopefully, that'll help... would it be wrong and kinda weird to take a photo of it?! I figure if I ever have kids I could show them the photos of the crap I coughed up and put them off for life! lol!x

Jogging is helping me to get rid of it. I would imagine that any other mildyl cardiovascular exercise would help as well.

Might be part of my problem (non-problem?).. Why I'm not coughing up that tar pit.. I've always been active. So, while the military has destroyed my knees, it may have helped to keep the lungs clearer.... I've only slowed down for the last year or so, so there may not be that much in there... can only hope ;)

You could cough onto a giant black canvas and probably call it art, at least in New York :)

Dont push yourself too hard with the jogging, my doctor whos also a fitness nut, pointed me to a site that recommends jogging for one minute followed by walking for 4 minutes and then repeat throughout your circuit.

Been vaping for a month and all of a sudden started coughing up gunk....did this happpen to anyone else

Am still coughing up gunk, and it's been 10 months plus since I gave up the tobacco. I was however a smoker for 40 years plus, reaching 2.5 packs a day for the last 15 - 20 years. I switched to e-cigs in the end of March 2012, (having gone a month cold turkey) and settled on the Logic brand as the best I have found. 5 pack refills last me around a week..with the 1.8% nicotene content. However I have noticed that the refills and even the stand alones had a lot of variation...some lasting longer than others, some not working at all right out of the package (production workers vaping and then packaging maybe?). However they have gotten better in the past 5 months, although still some incosistency in the vapor.

Glad to see I am not alone with the "gunk", and happy that it's not a by product of vaping. Dr. told me it could take a year plus for me to clear out the lungs given how much and how long I smoked.
