My name is actually Mac which I've been called since I was a kid.
When I joined ECF that user name was obviously taken. I tried lots of others but they were all taken too.
I settled on Sea Wolf as it was something I was called ages ago. In certain European countries it refers to someone who has been at sea a long time. Someone who knows the ropes, leads, teaches the younger ones, is wise and probably also cunning and devious! Much the same as we would use the term seadog I suppose but without the negative connotations.
Only after changing my name and meeting all the lovely friendly people here did I realize how many wolves are out there!
The rat avatars are because I love ratties. I have 6 boys and 6 girls. They are soooo intelligent and each have their own little personalities.
I support HeroRats because of the amount of landmines that need to be cleared in Africa. I've had to deal with minefields here and have seen the consequences first hand. I asked and was given permission by Apopo to use their pics and links.
Your question has made me think of changing my name to Sea Rat .... Sea Ratticus maybe?
Which would probably be much, much more appropriate.
The problem is if I change my name again SmokeyJoe and oldsoldier will just get annoyed and think I can't make up my mind.
They are also busy people with real lives who have better things to do.

Give it some time and ask Sea. I don't know if SmokeyJoe does too much of that anymore but sarge is a pretty nice guy.

Well this was freaky! I was going to ask about your rat avatars earlier today and I got interrupted and never posted the question. I saw this post and wondered if I had posted the question later and didn't remember doing it!! Freaky deeky!
I love them. It just makes me sad that they have such short lifespans and that I can't have them here with me.
