I doubt if my daughter would find herself in a situation where she'd have to move back home.

My son is a different story. His favorite saying is, he knows what he is doing. Unfortunately, when it all backfires, he comes to us looking for help!!!
He is getting married in May and she is a very independent person. Even so I expect there to be moments when they need a little help and that is fine--even welcomed. But since she is a very stand on your own feet type person, hopefully we lost the roll for the big major things in life.

We have an extra lot and thought about selling it but then son said he wanted to put a pool there. So the pool is his. Unfortunately he doesn't do a lot of taking care of it. DH monitors the pool levels and I keep it clean. The good thing is he does most of the financial. I learned a long time ago, it was cheaper to join an athletic club...and easier! :laugh:

I bought a big float last summer and after 3 uses one of the seams ripped......never replaced it I just put the new one on top of the old one that the seat was ripping on. Good thing I didn't get another new one!!
