John 15:4 (KJV)
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
– Hebrews 10:35-36

Luke 17:20-21 (KJV)
And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, "The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you."

Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.
– Proverbs 29:17

I love John 15:4! It's quick and to the point! To me it says, "Hey....we abide in each other! You are a branch connected to the vine (God/Jesus) and you cannot produce fruit as just a lone branch, unless you are connected to the vine! The fruit comes from the vine, but blossoms on the branch." Ta da! Like MM once said, 'now give me a cookie, please!'

2 Peter 1:3 (KJV)
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.

His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

I love Luke 17:20-21! I love it when Jesus puts the truth out there! It's like a 'slam dunk!' I can just hear Him saying that, too! And Proverbs? Oh my! You just can't argue with truth! :)

John 8:24 (KJV)
"I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins."

Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.

2 Peter 1:3 - This appeared to be a couple of sentence fragments. So I went to Bible Gateway (the best online source I've found) and yep, there was more.

2 Peter 1:3-4King James Version (KJV)

3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Please take no offense, Bill, my best subject was English. I painstaking read and re-read my posts to make sure they make sense, spelling as best as I can recollect, and it drives my husband nuts! He tells me that he types then he posts....period. I also use a dictionary online if something doesn't look quite right. I guess I'm OCD....NOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Matthew 25:21 - I would presume that we all wish to hear that we are good and faithful servants. I don't wish to rule anything.....I just wish to be with Jesus, and that's enough for me.

Sometimes, Bill, I believe you like to see if I'm paying attention. The verse from Isaiah made absolutely no sense to me....nada, zip, zero, there's no room in the inn! So, here I go to Bible Gateway and read a few before verse 20 and a few after verse 20. Then I went, "Ohhhhhhhhh.....that doesn't make any sense to me." I must have gotten up with a block of ice around my brains. So, I fell back on The Living Bible translation and a light bulb went off. I got it! Yeah! :D

Isaiah 26:19-21Living Bible (TLB)

19 Yet we have this assurance: Those who belong to God shall live again. Their bodies shall rise again! Those who dwell in the dust shall awake and sing for joy! For God’s light of life will fall like dew upon them!
20 Go home, my people, and lock the doors! Hide for a little while until the Lord’s wrath against your enemies has passed.
21 Look! The Lord is coming from the heavens to punish the people of the earth for their sins. The earth will no longer hide the murderers. The guilty will be found.

This is end time prophesy! Look at verse 21. Jesus will come back to punish the people on earth and the dirt covering the bodies of dead murderers, will be found! He can see through the dirt, through the vaults, through the coffins and find them. Woe be unto those people. :(

1 Samuel 2:3 (KJV)
Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.

And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

Isaiah 55:11 (KJV)

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole. And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise. And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat. And her parents were astonished: but he charged them that they should tell no man what was done.

    No you can't
Luke 8:50, 54-56 he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.

This was Jairus the father of the 12 year old girl, she WAS dying but wasn't dead. Then the women with the issue of blood showed up, Jesus told her "Daughter be of good cheer your FAITH has made you well.

Jesus was used for her healing but Jesus didn't do the healing it was the FAITH of the women that healed her.

Someone came and told Jairus your daughter is dead but Jesus told Jairus "Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well."

Again- Jesus was used but Jesus didn't do the healing; it was Jairus action of only believing and Jesus told the young girl to arise.

I see one other key part of these verses those that ridiculed Him, knowing that she was dead - He put them ALL outside then called to the girl. (removing all non belief before calling to the girl to rise.)

WE MUST ONLY BELIEVE - DO NOT DOUBT AS THE WORLD DOUBTS....
