Matthew 16:25 (KJV)
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

And the king communed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood they before the king. And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.

2 Peter 3:8 (KJV)
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

Now only if those who vote in elections could figure this out and receive understanding and use wisdom. We would have true men and women of God leading us and there wouldn't be anything that we couldn't handle for all would be looking to the Lord and we would be BLESSED as a country and people of the land.

But it is written and true: (verse 4) The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

Psalm 1 King James Version (KJV)

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

    Hebrews 10:26-27 (KJV)
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power.

Washington, D.C. has the nasty disease of 'politicianitis.' I have seen what I thought were decent people go to Washington, and wind up getting corrupted. But you have to wonder.....were they like that to begin with or was it like a 'gotcha' that crept up on them slowly. Regardless, Washington is still like that, getting worse by the minute. Lord have mercy on us. :(

    Matthew 11:25 (KJV)

At that time Jesus answered and said, "I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes."

Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee. Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.

I've got to say Bill, I've never subscribed to the daily verse thing before and I'm surprised how edifying it has been for me. I've learned so much by reading your post everyday. They have sparked a desire in me to search deeper into those verses and ask God for understanding I also believe I've grown in my walk/journey with God because of your post.

    Thanks Bill. :)
