Hi all,

Well- I'm 44 years old. Quit tobacco for e-cigs about 30 days ago and was hoping to miss out on the no tobacco acne reaction.

Dammit- I have acne on my torso, and today I got one juicy one on my face. I did not escape unscathed! I am apparently right back into puberty. Uck.

Does anyone have any experience on how long this will last?

And don't forget water, water, water.

Actually, fasters and the alternative health crowd use lemon squeezed in their water to cut the acne/rash effects from detoxifying. Sadly, people just don't realize how tremendously powerful vitamins C is. Linus Pauling won a nobel prize for his discovery and research on it -- that's how powerful it is -- powerful enough to cure disease. All topical antiwrinkle creams have vita c in it. It really helps a lot for many things. 2000mg (500mg 4xday) daily is not an unreasonable amount -- besides, if you get too much in your system, you just pee it out since it's water soluble instead of fat soluble. My :2c:.

Well, everyone says something different, but in my experience so far, it's getting worse, and I started vaping in March. Sore, painful, deep acne blemishes. Clogged pores, loads of blackheads, oily and slimy skin. I use mostly PG liquids and cartos. Face and neck are embarassing and frustrating. I will add some more Vitamin C however. I'm vegetarian, so I don't eat lots of fats and carbs. Always have lots of fruit and veggies, and tons of water, like a gallon a day or more. So sometimes no matter what you do, it's going to take it's own sweet time leaving. I've ordered some new skincare products as well as a glycolic peel that I hope to try in a few days or so. Next step is a trip to dermatologist. I'm seriously thinking an antibiotic would help this, as they feel worse than a pimple.

I've found the sulfur based acne-creams (like adult acnomel) work best for me - they seem to be more drawing than drying.

Those Zeno thingys actually worked for me too - it's a little device that has a tip that gets hot - supposedly to the exact temp needed to kill the bacteria that causes the pimple. I dunno - but it's helped on the couple I've tried it on. (they don't work for blackheads/whiteheads - just regular old pimples) They're pricey though, I happened to find a really good sale at the local drug store chain to get mine to try out.

I try to drink lots of water - but I need to work more on that. Some days I do really good...other days, not so good.

Thankfully things seem to be calming down, and I'm not noticing so many popping up any more. There was a few weeks there that I was not feeling so great about my skin!
