I've only owned it for about a week,

I cleaned it out last night using my new favorite way to clean attys: jewlery sonic cleaner w/ isopropyl alcohol.
Went to do a dry burn and at the 7 count into a 10 second dry burn it just quit, grabbed my fluke and verified its an open circuit.

Dang it, are LR attys that easy to pop?

I dont think Totally Wicked warranties their LR attomizers.

I'd agree with that, the sonic cleaner should be enough unless you've really let it get baked on. 10 seconds does seem excessive, also. I notice on my regular -T atomizers, I see an orange glow much sooner than that. I'd say 4-5 seconds would be enough, then let it rest for about the same, and repeat.

Switch to vodka or PGA, then you don't have to even wait very long if at all. I soak in PGA, then blow them out thoroughly, and use them 5 minutes later, if I'm in need of a clean atomizer.

I have a few, so they rotate. I try to keep up with the cleaning, so I've always got a clean one ready to go if one starts getting gunked up.
