Im currently using a Subtank nano on an I stick 30w. However, with the 1.3 ohm coils I am getting a real hot vape at the recommended minimum wattage (13W according to the Subtank nano). I can mitigiate the issue somewhat by opening the airflow all the way open, but I actually prefer the harder draw of less airflow. I've found that by dropping the wattage (11ish watts) I can get more of the cool vape that I prefer.

Is there a danger associated with vaping at a wattage below that recommended by the manufacturer? Thanks for the responses in advance.

Im not familiar with wattage mods, but I dont think that this would be an issue. If Im not mistaken, dropping the wattage just regulates how much power is going to the coils. If there wasnt enough power then the coils wouldn't heat up and there would be no vapor. As long as your coils are in the safe zone for your mod then you should be safe. 1.3ohms is definitely in the safe zone.

I believe the recommendations are for "peak" performance but I can see no danger in lowering the power. At most the coil may not perform as intended. If it works for you, go with it.:)
