Dangerous to refill a Cart on an auto batt????

Not sure I fully understand you. If you're asking if it's safe to fill while on the auto batt, no. Fill it while off the batt; autos are not sealed and if juice gets down in it that's not good.
If you're asking if it's possible to refill carts, yes. I don't know what model you have but most have some kind of filler in them. That filler can be washed/reused or can be replaced (like blue foam, or fluval). Cartomizers have fixed filler (some like the CE2 have wicks) and one can clean them out (to a point) and continue to reuse them.

ujack, you're probably safe to refill them, as long as you're careful not to over-fill it. this would flood the atty, and more than likely lead to it leaking out the bottom (into your battery, more than likely damaging and/or destroying it). just gotta be careful
