Dangers of Running with No Battery Spring?

Thanks again for the tip about polishing up the spring, it made a world of difference. Just out of curiosity, I tried with no spring . . . couldn't discern any difference in the vape, really. Definitely not enough to be worth even the slight risk involved IMHO

I noticed a bigger difference at 3.7v then 6v. But I would rather go 6v with a spring then 3.7 without

Hi everyone.

Last month my husband and I had the same trouble with having less of everything on our GG... So I tried no-spring-way 2 days ago. It was great and just wow. But I don't want risk and prefer to use spring.
GG USA Family you are lucky guys you can buy GGTS Replacement Battery Spring just like this.
Poor Australians ... our lovely AU GG shop has old spring only.

I just did one thing and it's good choice if anyone has no sand paper at home right now. ))
I polished all contacts, spring all over, etc, even battery contacts )) with that polishing cloth I use for GGTB and all cloth was absolutely black.
And now it's working Absolutely WOW like a train! I love my GG.

I have noticed my setup (SSGGTS/UFS2) lacking in vapor production. Yesterday I noticed the button was getting a little warm, so I took it apart and flipped the spring. It immediately began producing more vapor, and the button stopper getting warm. I thought this was a little weird.

How can one tell when the spring is ruined and needs to be replaced?

Is there a sticky somewhere with basic troubleshooting and maintenance tips for the GGTS?

Gat, if you even feel the performance is dropping and you suspect the culprit could be the button, just clean your button spring by sanding it down using some fine sand paper. That will fix it every time. You probably won't need to actually replace the spring for a very long time.

I find that the fine side of an emory board (fingernail file) works well for the springs. Seems easier to get in and around. Most people have them somewhere or you can get a pack for about a buck anywhere and there is a lifetime supply in the pack.
