I don't know how anybody could like this article?
I find it interesting that vapers are "scared" to vape eliquid from china manufacturers (and having seen youtube videos of their clean rooms, where everyone is wearing hair net/wraps, clean suits, the floors are epoxied like airplane hangers, and all the vats are stainless steel, etc.)
.....yet this article talks about "back rooms" and "Behind the curtain, Melanie Smith doesn't wear a lab coat or protective covering over her clothes, shoes or blonde hair."
Thanks, but I prefer not to have my ejuice mixed by people in street clothes and the possibility of a stray blonde hair getting into my ejuice.
And I've been in plenty of "back rooms" of small businesses, they range from everything from break rooms to places where people store their boots, coats (with pet hair), and wet umbrellas, as well as shipping supplies.
I only order from places where I know the facilities, and that would be a facility/room built out precisely for mixing eliquids, ie. stainless steel tables, automatic (contained) flavor dispensers, etc. and the mixers are dressed appropriately for the task.
Anyway, I didn't think this article presented the ejuice mixing biz in a good light, yet i don't doubt that that is how eliquid is being mixed in many places.
This is why even some vapers *want* some regulation.

I kinda don't blame them.
You can eat off the floor of my kitchen and it's
still not clean enough to be a commercial "mixing facility" IMHO. I guess that's why I mostly do DIY now, except for a few vendors I know have
dedicated mixing facilities.
