Dark Horse

I got a dark horse clone, running a .5 ohm build on a Sig 100w plus. Not nearly enough flavor for my likings so I'm wondering what rda I should go for to get some great flavor..
Also, I cannot manage to keep this thing clean. juice is all over the place all the time

I really don't like my dark horse clone. I have the same problem, no flavor. I like the plume veil and surprisingly the doge as my two favorite RDA's right now. The plume veil has pretty good flavor and if you run the Doge with the right airflow it's a nice combination of vapor and flavor for me.

I have a Hobo clone as well that I like in single coil mode. The thing seems to give me trouble sometimes though and I just can't say that it is a good RDA.

I've had a really good time with my Hobo V2's but you have to be good with vertical coils. I find that it gives me better flavor than my magma. It's all I use on my mechs.

Previous to the Hobo's, I was only using Plume Veils as they provide a great combination of flavor and vapor.

If you like better flavor, you can try a kayfun, a fogger, an Orchid or a lemo.

I have a lemo. I don't want another tank. I don't want another RDA either but I do want some fantastic flavor

My EHPro Veritas was under 20 bucks shipped on Ebay (I think $16). Build quality isn't the best but it puts out some great flavor and doesn't leak either. The only problem is it's hard to build coils on it at first, but it's something you get used to, especially if you're a single coil fan.

Odd that your Darkhorse clone isn't providing flavor.... I've got a couple of legit Darkhorse attys and they provide great flavor (24 gauge, .27 build).... That said if your are looking for a real flavor machine, I would suggest a Magma. I've got a legit one and it is a flavor machine.

I'd point you towards the tugboat v2 for flavor with good vapor. There are others with flavor as good or nearly as good, but the tugboat just seems to have less drawbacks in other areas.

You should try out the Mutation X V2, it's easy to build on, great flavor and actually pretty cheap at $40

I run mine with 24g .25 coils between 65-70 watts. 70/30 juice and get pretty good flavor. Obviously not tugboat or plume flavor, but WAY BETTER that the mutation v2 IMO

jeez, I'm glad I didn't get it, I was saw this "bundle" and was gonna jump on it but something held me back

now after reading this thread I'm looking into something else besides a dark horse clone but I don't want to fork out 90 bucks on a tugboat and magma looks like a pain to build on, at least kind of it does

Which plume veil do you have? I'm considering one from the B&M. All their clones are Tobeco though.

To be honest I am not sure which clone it is. It was a late night random order while getting some kanthal and what-not. I do know it came from focalecig but the one I ordered isn't even available on the site any more.

im not sure with dark horse you have, but the one I have, you can flip the AFC to only cover half the holes vertical-wise, then you put it in single coil airflow mod, allowing only half of 2 holes to allow airflow. Seems like a lot to do just to get some flavor but darkhorse really isnt built for flavor. If you want flavor id suggest getting a rda with a smaller air chamber or ones with airflow holes on the deck that point upwards to the coils. the main thing i found to get more flavor out of any rda is to really reduce the amount of airflow though, so most of what you are inhaling is dense vapor instead of vapor mixed with tons of air. You can get flavor out of any RDA really if the airflow options allow you to give yourself a tighter draw. I can get good flavor out of my Dark horse and mutation X if i restrict the airflow to minimum and use 510 tips.

Magma is very easy to build on but not a very good vapor producer and limits your builds due to airflow restrictions. You dont wanna shell out the money for a tugboat v2 but i guarantee you wont regret it after getting one. I have a bunch of different attys from the darkhorse to magma to mephisto to stillare mutation x clt etc. Tugboat is my go to, the other pretty much collect dust
