I ordered my first kit on Saturday. I didn't have any illusions or expectations that it would be on my doorstep first thing Monday morning, or even Tuesday, but I'm pretty sure it might come today. I didn't have to be at my job until 11, and sometimes the mail lady comes as early as 10:30. But, oh no, not on the day that I'm actually expecting something good. She sure can burn rubber getting to my house with those bills though.
So, I lollygag around the house a little longer than I usually do. Changed my shoes twice, even packed a lunch, which I normally don't do, and fed the cats again. When it was time to leave, I walked really slow to my car, backed out really slow too, even stopped at the mail box just to check it one more time. By then I was pretty much over it, unless I passed her in the neighborhood... In that case, I was willing to risk being a few minutes late to go back to the house to wait for her. But her little white truck was no where to be seen.
I make out of the neighborhood and about 5 houses down, there she is! My heart did a strange little pitter patter when I first saw it! Weird! After all these weeks of research, and 4 days since ordering it, I was only 15 minutes from maybe having it in my hands, but I had to force myself to keep going. Being 5 minutes late, I might could get away with, but not 15. It did cross my mind to stop her and ask for my mail, but I knew she wouldn't be able to give it to me.
Rosa said I might become a mailman stalker and she was right! Thanks for letting me vent. I'm just super excited if you can't tell!
