I vape just about anywhere, but always ask first. In my neck of the woods, the most common answer is that there is no policy covering it and if someone complains just refrain from it. My stepdad is one that even the stench of smoke on you will set his allergies off, but loves the smell of the vapor. Its a win win with him.

I vape around my kids. I don't see an issue with it. I used to smoke outside on my porch or my patio and they would follow me out there, so it seems silly to try to not do this around them. I think I am setting a better example by not hiding this from them because they see that I have quit smoking. No one is perfect, and I think that worrying about vaping around kids is such a yuppie suburban thing to do. I have had a couple of friends go bug eyed about the fact that I vape around my kids and I just laugh. My mom used to vape (after smoking for 40 years) and now she doesn't do that either, so she is totally fine with me vaping in her house. My grandmother doesn't mind- she thinks it is cool. I think if you worry too much you project that there is something wrong with it. If you feel confident that it is great, everyone else will too. Unless they suck. Some people just suck. :)

I vape any place I can sneak in a toke.

I don't like being visible with it though. I still carry some smoker shame so I like to private-vape.

I don't vape in front of my kids because I don't want there to be any questions. They are both younger than 2 right now.

However, dipping off into the bathroom for a few quick vapes seems to keep me happy.

I vape in the bathroom at work all the time. I drink large amounts of coffee/water/tea so no one even thinks about my frequent potty breaks, lol. I stealth vaped through the mall today. Slid my pv up my sleev and did a few face palms throughout. I've snuck in a few hits while helping a friend go through labor at a hospital.

Hospitals don't necessarily frown on vaping in there either. In fact, I was introducing a friend to vaping last night. His friend was dying of cancer. The entire time he was hospitalized (in a major cancer institute) he was allowed to vape. Apparently the doctors and nurses there figured that (1) he was doing no additonal damage to himself and (2) he was doing no damage to those treating/visiting him and (3) he was doing no damage to equipment/facilities.

So, while I don't do the "in your face" vape, and I'm very sensitive to those around me, I do stealth it when I can/need to. Makes for a much more pleasant experience.

I have vaped in my ER bed - with the full approval of the staff there 'as long as it does not burn tobacco'. They had never seen them before and were more curious than anything! My doctor is delighted with it and pleased that i no longer smoke cigarettes and my workmates are all just fascinated and wait to see the newest tanks and gadgets i am using! I can make huge clouds of smoke if i want to, but that seems about as inconsiderate as blowing cigarette smoke at people - and so i keep it reasonable and confined to my own cubicle or out and about in the factory.

I am vaping everywhere. Stores, restraunts, bars where smoking is actually allowed in this area, and movie theaters. If someone were to complain, I would let them know what it is and if they still didn't like it I would gladly stop. If we keep hiding it like it's something to be ashamed of, people will never see that it is actually a GOOD thing that we are doing.

I keep my Volt X2 with a brightly colored clearo hung around my neck on a purple lanyard and vape openly wherever I am. I very rarely get dirty looks. More questioning looks really. lol Since I got this set up, I have been asked for more info about e cigs than ever before. I am proud to be part of making the public aware that there is a method of quitting smoking that actually works!!
