I yanked my PTB filler out of my Ego Mega cart and replaced it with a polyfill dart. For some reason I was getting a lot of juice through the mouthpiece. I like the PTB and it's my standard filler, but the one I created the other day just didn't work right and polyfill was handy. I had to get back to my movie in a hurry (grin).

A good PTB filler is a great mod. Polyfill is just fine and produces a good vape. The good part about PTB is that you can add 10 or 12 drops to an empty cart or 5 or 6 drops in a top off without removing the filler. It just sucks up the juice right down into the material.

The BFD is also a good mod. This forum really gives users the technical info to get the best vaping experience available. I can just imagine how many people get frustrated trying to make things work if they don't find this forum early on.

I use Blue Foam (Marineland Bonded Foam Sleeve, Size "U"). For my DSE901 carts. I cut it 1/2" x 5/8" and after inserting it into the cart there's about 1/16" space between the top of the foam and the top of the cart. When I remove the cart to refill I see where the bridge has put just a tiny dent in the top of the foam, so there's good contact there.

When I refill the cart there's only about a drop or two difference between an empty cart with no filler and a full cart using the Blue Foam.

Also I haven't detected any burnt taste and by the time the vapor decreases the Blue Foam is practically dry.

The Blue Foam works for me better than any of the other filler methods I tried, so I'm going to stay with it.

I use both....BFD and PTB and have great appreciation for this forum. I have been reading for over a year and it has helped me enormously. I have been analog free for the entire time. Made the switch as soon as I started vaping....no problems.

This forum has helped me keep my gear and everything working well. I have several models of e-cigs and with all the advice here I have only ditched 5 attys in a year.
I'm loving all the different flavors and the overall experience with vaping. The smell of a burning cig is really awful and I'm really happy about that. ;)

I've been running with a simple fluval cap. Tighter (larger piece) for thick fluids, looser (smaller piece) for thin fluids. I only cap about 15mm into the cartridge leaving the rest for fluid. I can vape it dry- and get consistent vapor until it tastes empty.

I played with the straw mod, and others, but using a fluval cap with no filler works best for me.
