Whatup y'all. So, I am thinking about getting a darwin due to the glowing reviews and the said performance of the unit. Problem? Its expensive, a little out of my price range.

I was curious if there are any other variable wattage PV's out there at the moment ( and not the Kick mod ). Very interested in the possibilities of the VW but just need it in a lower price bracket. Any suggestions?

First problem ........... no Darwins to buy, Brandon hasn't made one for 6 months. So unless you can find one in the classies, I guess that option is out for now. However Brandon has been making some Kicks and DNA-12 chips. You can even stack the DNA chips if 12 watts isn't enough power for you.

Actually Mamu made three with the Nivel chip, she also made a few with the DNA chip. (just wish she would send me one)

You can save some money and just buy a Provari . You can adjust the voltage to what ever device you put on it . Very easy to find that "sweet" spot . Plus they are readily available . The Darwin's have been out of stock for quite awhile . I emailed Brandon about when there might be more . He didn't even bother to respond . So I bought a Provari , instead . couldn't be happier with my choice .

Hey everybody, thanks for the replies. Forgot to subscribe to the thread. Had a tough time finding it again.

Actually currently vaping off the Lavatube and plan on personally upgrading to the Provari. I posted this on behalf of those I meet and are interested in ecigs. I am just getting great responses from people when I vape in public, what is that, how does it work, how much, etc. The usual. I give them as much advice as I can without overwhelming them, but its tough.

As we all know getting into the vaping world can overwhelming. Lots of info, numerous products, and it seems like endless opinions. This can be frustrating and discouraging. Not to mention expensive. I personally spent a lot of money to figure out a system that works for me.

People seem to really want a substitute to analogs. They want to quit. As my father once told me "If you don't make it convenient for a guy, he won't do it." Especially in our society now days, those words ring loud and true. Put actual effort into something, ha!

But I digress. Before this gets too long winded, I am just trying to figure out a direction I can point these folks towards. Or even the new vapers that are getting discouraged. I figure that a VW setup would be gold. Figure out what power you want to vape and go. Just screw on your tank and you don't have to worry about refilling, charging a battery several times a day, or what voltage you need to be set at, and you will be good to go for the day.

Just trying to spread the experience I have had with finding ecigs with all that I meet. Could not be happier by the way. Used to chew at least a can day, not to mention smoke occasionally (especially when I drank). Been vaping for over a year now, have not touched a can or an analog since. Wishing that others can have an experience like me without hitting the all so common "its not worth the effort" wall.

    Any other suggestions?

    Cheers.

VW is very sweet. There is the Darwin, using a Kick in several 18650 mods, the Opus and the Jbox. Also there is one that's been named the Stallion that I haven't even seen a prototype of. I here there are more in the works using the Evolv technology and their DNA chip.

But -- I'd refer my newbie friends to a Twist or the U-Turn. After they groove in they can shop for which style of the above they want. :D

You don't have to subscribe to a thread to find it easily, just go to "What's New">>>"My Posts" at the top of the page. Unless you post a lot it's easy to find all the ones you've posted to recently.

Or, if you have posted in a thread you should be able to find it in "Thread tools" under subscribed threads. Or -- at Settings at the top of the page. At least I have mine set up to work that way. :)
