I've done a good amount of searching through the mod forums, and have found bits and pieces of information here and there (voltages of batteries, resistance of atomizers, measured diameters of threads for taps and dies... It made me wonder if anyone has ever consolidated the various data on the various models - you know, "What's the standard resistance of a new 901 atomizer?", etc... Why re-invent the wheel, ya know?

There is a spreadsheet on the forums that mogur started (he is dearly missed :(), named styles.xls. It is in this thread:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modders-forum/24101-ecig-model-database.html

What we need to do is keep it updated, until we can get web app written to keep it updated. But it's a good starting place, maybe we can get the moderators to sticky it, so we can keep it going. I've been adding some additional information to it myself, tap/die sizes etc.

I should have mentioned that I did find that, but I get this error (which is odd because it's a .gif image :():

Why not the wiki?

I did an update to (JOYE 510 on the wiki, I can't link yet apparently) yesterday, it seems like the wiki could use alot of info. If content was added according to a template, the info could be pulled from the db, and put into a spread sheet pretty easily, imho. It would be easier than one person acting as the note taker and aggregating everything.

The other idea would be to just make a public Google Docs version of the spreadsheet.

Thoughts?

I like the idea of the wiki - I mean, that's the purpose of it anyway, right? The only draw back would be someone *cough*FDA*cough* messing it up.

Just did my first autopsy of an atty (an 801) last night (didn't have the correct tools before) and it was an eye opener - pictures I'd seen just don't convey quite what the actual experience was. Very interesting to say the least. :w00t:

lol - it's all so tiny in reality ;)

btw, there is an easy to read / edit Wiki / E-cig FAQ here: The latest buzz ...
Everyone is welcome to add to it :)
