Hey just got my Ego-C tornado yesterday from Totally Wicked. All I have to say is WOW! I work in construction where it seems like everybody smokes cigs but today, for the first time, i didn't even think about smoking one thanks to my ecig. It's been over 24 hrs and I can care less about regular cigs. That being said, the "tobacco" flavor TW sent with the start-up kit was horrible. It tasted like a cross between hazelnut and dog ..... Luckily, I also bout a sampler pack with orange tic tac and peruvian vanilla and they taste pretty good. Are there any flavs that taste like a regular cig? How about some flavors and vendors that are well known, tried, and true? They don't have to be tobacco flavors because i vaped with the orange all day today and still didn't want a regular cig. Thanks in advance forum people :)

Congratulations. I was able to instantly change over, even after 30+ years and about 2-1/2 PAD. I started with the tobacco flavors, as I thought that's what I needed, but quickly moved to all the amazing other flavors out there. I have LOTS of the tobacco stuff just sitting here now, and may or may not ever use it.

Advice I wish I'd gotten:

1. Forget regular cigarettes. That includes trying to find juice that tastes like them. No one really wants to make juice that tastes like an ashtray and that's why you can't find any that tastes like a cigarette ;) You may think this is harsh, but in a few days you'll light up an analog out of curiosity and you'll agree :D

2. You have no idea what flavors you'll like to vape. My fave right now are soda flavors and I don't even drink soda!

3. Vaping is not smoking. You may be used to taking very regular smoke breaks throughout the day and find that you instead vape almost constantly throughout the day. It's ok. Just listen to your body, it'll let you know when you're over doing it.

4. DRINK WATER. Vaping takes a few days to get used to, just like smoking did. Your throat will ache and you will cough. Drinking water helps. It also helps your body clear out all the junk you've been inhaling in cigarette smoke, which makes detoxing easier.

5. Speaking of detoxing: yes, you're still getting nicotine. Doesn't change the fact that you quit smoking and will go through almost all the things quitters go through. The headaches, the cough, getting antsy. Drink your water and vape (responsibly!) through it.

Congrats on the switch!!!

Firstly congrats on quitting and welcome to ECF. Like Keith I too just switched over, didn't feel the need and had no cravings, and like most I started with Tobacco flavors but soon got into fruity and more fun flavors.
From what I understand from reading here you won't find a true cigarette flavor due to the fact there is no combustion involved in the vaping process.

There are no e-liquid flavors that can come close to what a cigarette tastes like. It's impossible to create smoke and burning tobacco leaves flavor. And within a week or two, you won't even care.

Most e-juice vendors offer sampler packs to inexpensively try out their flavors with the hope that you will return to purchase in larger quantity once you find what you like. I'll provide you with a couple of vendors that I purchase from regularly:

Organically Flavored E-liquid | Virgin Vapor | Electronic Cigarette Organic e-Liquid | Electronic Cigarettes

Vaperite | E Liquid Flavors and Organic E Cigarette Liquid

Natural & Organic E-liquids - Home page Dripeez No samplers, but excellent juice.

Congrats!! I am just over the one month. My mistake was not having enough juice and batteries on hand. One time I was vaping samples I didnt care for all weekend until my shipment arrived. Another time I was pulling my batt out of the charger after 10 minutes and vaping with that while my other batt charged. Fortunately they charge faster than I can vape:)

Now I think of it more like backpacking and make sure all my gear is good to go !

RyDog, welcome to the forum and congratulations. The advice above is great, I would heed all of it!

I'll add that for me the only time I find myself using tobacco flavors (usually a blend called RY4), is when I'm having a few drinks. Otherwise I personally love sweet flavors, chocolate mint, rootbeer float, cookies and cream, etc. Even when the flavors don't sound like I'd like them, I'm often surprised. I smoked Winston and Camel for almost 30 years and like you I expected that I'd want a flavor to match my previous habit. But like akatina said above, you're not smoking any more, you're vaping now. So have fun, experiment, try buying flavors in small amounts at first until you find some you like, then you can order bigger bottles. Keep at it, and finding this forum will be a huge help down the road.

Good luck!

Thanks Akatina! I coughed a lot last night, and even today some of my vapes were pretty harsh. I'm still figuring out how to take a proper "drag" from this thing. Didn't think to drink more water because i didn't think I would detox because of the fact that I'm still on nicotine. That's why I joined this forum because there is a lot for me to learn!! I will definitely follow your advice

Congrats, I am recently off the nasty cigs and on the vape wagon. Hazzle nut and dog, sounds like an interesting taste lol. I didn't quit analogs cold like most people do. I did it gradually over a week or so. I threw a half pack away cause after that week the darn things were awful and didn't satisfy me anymore. Btw I smoked 1.5 PAD for the last 16 years.
As far as flavores and vendors akatina is right everyone is different. I work with 8 other vapers and we all like different stuff, which works cause we buy sample packs and all try each others juice. That's really the only way to narrow down what you like.
Currently I am enjoying some stuff from fuzion vapor. They also have a sample pack that you choose what you get and it's priced really well. But there are more suppliers out there then anyone can count. Pay attention to the boards, people are not shy about tellin ya whos juice they like.
Good luck and stick with it. After a couple weeks you'll find that you feel so much better

I agree with akatina. Tobacco flavor makes you crave and remind you of cigarettes. I found new love with butterscotch and i dont even eat butterscotch
