Day 4 and Hanging in there

Now at day 4. Trust me no one is more AMAZED than I am. I can stand next to Hubs on the deck whilst he is smoking a stinky and still be ok with my ecig! I am not saying I have not had my moments when I really wanted to just light up, but I have resisted and reached for my vape instead. I did notice today that I had a little bit of swelling in my hands, and think that maybe I did not drink enough water? Any thoughts? PS only my hands. My ankles seem fine, so maybe it is totally unrelated........................

Congrats Lizzy. I'm at just over 2 months. I don't even think about smokes when I need a nic fix. For me it's joint pain. My knees tend to be a bit more sore since I started. Just follow the advice on ECF....Drink lots of water and remember that whatever you are going through now is way better than smoking.

Stick with it....it's worth every lungful.

First......congratulations!!! Keep it up!

For the first month I didn't even think about cigarettes but I did dive in hard and spent almost all my free time surfing the net, ordering and trying things, learning to build, trying new devices and now learning to DIY. It was expensive but it worked for me.

I've kinda' relaxed now knowing what I like and what I don't as far as devices go. Every now and then lately I want a cigarette for just a moment and that was a surprise. So I load up one of the two tobacco blends I have and I get right over that really quick. I don't and never did care for the taste of tobacco.

You're doing great!
Remember, the urge to have an analog will probably NEVER go away completely and pop up at most unexpected times.
Just use your sense of SMELL! You'll be surprised how quickly you'll SMELL people who have had a cigarette and realize that YOU used to smell that way to someone who doesn't smoke!
It is a constant reminder to me why I don't do it anymore and am very satisfied to have those urges replaced by VAPING.
One day at a time...it will get easier!

Awesome! Stick with it. I started vaping in 2012 for about a year and then made the mistake of trying an analog while I was under stress. Just recently got back into vaping again and I'm trying to stick with it myself. It's tough, very tough in the beginning. Like others have said drink lots of water. All those poisons are slowing making their way out of your system.

I found that experimenting with a wide variety of juices kept the vaping experience new and kept my mind of analogs. Now I still experiment with a wide variety juices but just because I want to Lol. Congrats stay with it.

Ditto this. It is all the great flavors of juices and trying new ones all the time that keep me happy with my vaping. I have found that even though I thought I would not like fruit or coffee juices that they are now counted among my favorites. Stick to your guns on the no smoking and get that hubby of yours onboard too. It is the best!
