Hope it is ok to start a new thread, my post from yesterday is getting pretty long!

I'm still going strong here -NO ANALOGS and really not missing that part! Thanks for all the feedback on technique, batteries, etc in my last post. I will try and digest all the battery information -- but even a worse case scenario where I have to replace a battery or two now and then, it will still be way cheaper than just one carton of cigarettes. I will also take the suggestion of getting another charger and for sure more tanks -- I can tell I am going to be a JUICE HOARDER. I already have twelve bottles of juice either in the house or on the way, DAY TWO! And I have read that my tastes are going to change and evolve as time goes on. GREAT - more juice for me, LOL!

I didn't know what to do with myself this morning - old habits die really hard, especially after 40 years. I had to think through every step of my morning routine, since running out to the garage to grab a few hits was no longer necessary. (Thankfully, we haven't smoked in the house since our granddaughters were born three years ago, and I think that really helped.) So, I am already enjoying vaping more than analogs -- staying inside where it's warm, no need to compulsively wash hands, hair and clothes, and it TASTES better! In fact, already EVERYTHING tastes better. I haven't found anything but positives, yet. I don't want to jinx myself and act like it's going to be EASY, but I am making it even though it's only day TWO I'm watching my twin toddler granddaughters. What was I thinking there??

I have only heard about two smoke shops anywhere near me. I visited one after reading through this forum for a few days. The employee knew LESS THAN I DID about ecigs. They did sell a few liquids and I bought some that I have not tried yet. Overpriced tiny bottles. Can you tell I was not impressed, LOL. I plan on going to the other store ASAP in hopes that its a little better. I'm new so I don't know Cinder yet -- would love to find out if anyone sells anything Halo near me. Thanks!

Way to go, Nanny22. Oh, is the 22 in your name for the little twins?

All I need is to look into my Granddaughters eyes (the ones that asked her Pop pop to stop smoking, for her).

And yes, Nanny, the other thread, er, um, unraveled.

Let's see if we can keep this about Hours 24 to 48.

(Nice prediction, Wheezal!! )

Good for you and yes, the habits are very hard to break! My second week of vaping, I think it was, I went out in the garage in the AM and stood in my "smoking spot" for like 5-7 mins trying to figure out where my lighter, cigs and ashtray went. All of that stuff had been thrown away three weeks prior.

And I still on occasion do a frantic search for a lighter while holding my Triton.

Congrats on your success! I would echo the sentiment about not hoarding too much liquid yet. I'm already having to double purchase to dilude my 24mg to 15mg with 6mg solution. Then it's 12 from there, and 6 and so on. There's no need for a multi-month supply of anything at this point.

But seriously, WAY TO GO!!

So, Nanny, how many tanks you thinking? I got 2 extra with my kit, then got 3 more!

And along with the extra USB adapter/charger and extra heads, buy 2 extra replacement Tank tips.

Somehow, daytime TV is better with a thoughtful vape. In fact, a lot of things are better!

So, I think you are 24 hours in from Halo touchdown. Very soon, you'll be 24 days in.

And very soon, telling the twins to park better, cause they blocked you in.

Thanks for the link to the state by state map, dash! I found a place pretty close that looks promising. I will take everyone's advice and TRY not to order too much liquid, but it is gonna be hard! Fortunately I am starting out at 12 with only one more level below where I am already - so not too far to fall. I have to agree with something I read here on the forum - I would drive to two or three stores to get *my* brand of cigarettes so they would taste the same as what I was used to. NOW, I don't want anything to taste the same at all! And I DEFINITELY don't want anything that tastes like those cigarettes. I do want to find my favorite ADV (see what I learned??) but I am going to *enjoy* looking for it!!
Dave - you asked if my screen name referred to the grand babies- yes. There are two and they call me Nanny, so Nanny to two. Somehow, to this point, I never let them see me smoking and they are getting old enough now that I don't want them to associate that smell with me in their memories of me later. They were born several months premature at under two pounds and through a lot of very hard work are now thriving, healthy, happy miracle babies with no repercussions whatsoever. I am so blessed, I can not waste it. Was afraid at first that they would not live to grow up - now I want to be sure that *I* live to see them grow up. Aw hell, now I am all weepy. Blaming it on the quit.

So glad to hear everything is working out great for you Nanny! Once you can get over that 3 day hump of getting off the stinkies, it gets significantly easier (at least it did for me, anyhow). Like others have said, be careful to not hoard for the zombie apocalypse... and try one or two flavors at a time when you place new orders, otherwise, there may be a drawer of liquids steeping that's really only good for ant poison.

Glad to hear that the wee ones are doing well.. I can't imagine how tiny they must have been! Stay strong for yourself, and for them!!!

Congratulations - isn't it amazing. I smoked for almost 40 years, and I was lucky - I haven't even been tempted to pick up an analog since the first day I picked up a cheap, convenience store egic! However, I did buy an overpriced one maybe 5 years ago and never used it after the first unsatisfying puff. They've come along way. You may also, like me, become a juice ..... - there are so many fabulous flavors to vape, and it's so much more fun to vape candy than to eat it LOL So, make sure you NEVER run out of batteries or juice - have extras of extras. My daughter teases me that if there was a zombie apocalypse an I couldn't charge my batteries I'd be breaking into the smoke shop:p

Welcome and congratulations!!!! don't listen to what anyone says about the juice  I cant stop ordering crap online!!!!!

The worst part is the obsession with clean tank / try new juice / clean tank / forget I tried that one already / fill tank / empty tank / clean tank :D

i'm hoarding juice as well :)

and to think I have to repeat this whole process once I let them steep...

Same here. And it's a bit like Russian roulette sometimes, I've got every tank in a different color etc but I always forget what I put in it. So add in pick it up, vape, realize that really wasn't the flavor you wanted at all, proceed to next and that's my vaping day in a nutshell
