So I received an email stating that the product was in stock. So I followed the provided the link and it says the product is out of stock. I emailed db Modz twice and have not received an email.

After riptrippers gave db Modz a negative review I decided to try them out anyways. All I can say is that if db Modz cannot answer a simple email about a product inquiry i definitely would not buy anything from db Modz

Hi there, the problem with these dna's is the availability is shocking, since there is only a few people making these they sell out so fast, i can't speak for DBModz but i know that with X-mods every 1st of the month they put they're DNA20/30's up for sale and within minutes they sell out so maybe they use the same technique. Put them on at the start of the month and because of high demand DBModz also sell out. That's why i took the easy way out and got a VaporShark which arrived yesterday. Someone was selling 10 on eBay in the UK so i brought it and in two days its at my door, no 3 weeks waiting period.

yea i realize that there is a shortage of dna chips but the fact that they dont respond to any emails is rather disturbing if i am going to drop 250 dollars on a mod.

100% agree, if they just sold out and they got to make all the mods maybe they are busy but customer service goes a long way and as its proven. Its put you off as a customer, when i contacted VaporShark about the battery replacement i was concerned as it says you need a order number for the replacement form and as i brought it from the UK on eBay i wasn't going to get one but within 8 hour's they responded. Hang in there and wait to see what they say, when they reply :/

I responded to the "in stock" email and didn't get a reply. I tried again using the contact link on the website and got a response in minutes. YMMV. Good luck.

That bites. I just signed up for that waiting list as well and was thinking how it worked. My guess was everyone signs up and he flips the on switch saying they are ready and then they sell out faster then I can read the email.

That is how it works. I got lucky and have one on its way. I prefer this method to the ss vapes pre order mess.

i was under the impression that the owner of DB Modz changed the way he did things since riptrippers gave him a negative review.

I ordered a mini, waited about 5-6 weeks, got it, and had to return it due to a 510 connector issue. I understand these mods are hand made, and that things happen. Fortunately, he does stand behind his work, and he is fixing it... At least I think he is. Communication has been wonky, to put it mildly. That's the problem with a one or two person operation. You get overwhelmed with emails, work, orders, repairs, etc. I am trying to be patient and sympathetic, because I understand that this is a small business, and I support that. Also, the mod is solid as a rock. In spite of the infection issue, which popped up about 2 weeks after I received it, it's a very well made box mod. Hopefully, things will get more organized on their end, because I want to be happy... But yeah, I am kind of regretting my decision to buy a mod... Not because I don't like the mod, mind you. I have to say though... The communication is an issue.

I agree. However tough times call for unique technique or maybe a stupid technique I am not sure I do not get out much. To get ANYONE to even open an email is tricky when these sites are getting an insane amount of DNA Mod questions and 99.99999999% of those emails are "when will you have these in stock?". Every time I see or think about a Vape Shop B&M I go crazy like I am missing the era of the good old days getting rich from ecig mania. Because these shops and vendors get busy they tend to ignore DNA 20/30 availability requests. They just have more going on than just that particular product. Use the subject line to say anything that has nothing to do with dna's. I have found using the term "question on limits on clearance items" It has worked well BUT because I am not a POS I look in the clearance sections for a product or deal and if I find that I get a response(I should mention that I do ask about dna's in that email) I place an order for something in that clearance section. I feel as though I should pay for being a little sneaky so I buy something I can use or gift to someone and the vendor gets some cash to free up to buy desired inventory. Everybody wins. So I get a lot of answers but no DNA. I do get a little info on that sites approx. availability.

This is the absolute worst case of customer service failure I have ever experienced- and I am including phone and cable companies in this equation. I have been waiting for my repaired mod for over three weeks now, and getting a response is next to impossible. I can't even get them to send me a tracking number to check status of my package. Aside from the horrid service and faulty 510 connector... Great mod. I have never regretted purchasing something so much in my life. I can't wait to get it back, so I can trade or sell it. Not because it's a bad mod... It's because I have a terrible taste in my mouth thanks to the awful service and support.

This really sucks to hear. I have one and as of now it is working perfectly. I am even thinking of trying to get a second one to rotate between the two. I didn't have any problems with customer service, if you guys are, odds are I will too should I need it. Just thinking out loud.

Well, to his credit, Daniel called me today and sent me a tracking number. He is a straight up dude, and I think he is overwhelmed with orders. He's a one person operation, and he makes this mod by hand. In spite of the 510 issue, I love the mod. I will get it back Monday, and report the results. Him calling me on the phone does say a lot about him, though.

Hate to say it, but I'm still waiting for a response and a resolution regarding my mod. After receiving the replacement, the 510 connector issue reappeared. I have been trying to contact the company for over a month now, and last I heard (over a month ago), a replacement mod was going to be sent. No replies to repeat attempts to communicate, and I'm out 200 bucks. This is the mini dna 20, btw. I'm told the new ones don't have the crap connector anymore, but I am on the long list of people trying to get in touch with Daniel to resolve an issue for a mod that is under warranty. What good is a warranty if you can't get the modder to fix the issues? My advice to anyone considering a DB Modz... Don't waste your time or money. This is the worst case of customer service I have ever experienced.

I have heard nothing but great things from satisfied DB owners, when they receive a working mod. The rest of us (and we are many), have bricks, broken 510 connectors, electric issues, and no way to contact the modder. I get that he is one dude, and that he makes this mod by hand. However, there is no excuse for bad manners and bad service. My biggest issue here, aside from spending money on a mod I can't use, is the zero response I've gotten from him. I'm sick of acting like some crazed stalker, calling and messaging daily. Zero response... That's what upsets me most of all.
