DCC ohms?

Set the voltmeter at next highest scale to what you expect to read. 200k is good. A DCC should read 1.6 ohms since the two 3.2 ohm coils are in parallel. You are reading through them as if they were side by side with the leads touching at each end.

If you are suspecting that one of the coils is open, then in that case, you would read 3.2 ohms, indicating one was blown or not connected.

ok great info. I was holding the neg. to the small air hole on the side and the poss. in the big center hole, would that be right? I checked one because it was not getting hot like they do if you chain vape. well I got 2.0 ohms so I just cranked the voltage up. lol. Thanks for the help :vapor:

That sounds right. One thing about voltmeters is that you have to take the lead resistance into consideration. Your leads and the contacts they plug into will have a small resistance. Touch the leads together, rub them to make sure you get the best contact, and look at how many ohms you are reading if it's not zero. Subtract that from the reading you get on your atomizer to get the true resistance of the atty.
