DCT 6ml tanks and cartos inside them

First off id like to say hi to everyone, I am new to the forum and vapeing in general( about a month now).
I started vapeing with a tornado t and i loved it but it jjust felt like something was missing so i ordered clearos carto tanks lr attys and I have a PROVARI in the mail i am just dieing to get my hands on. so here is why i made this post I:

I recived my first map style tank that takespre-punched smoke tech lr cartos i love the unit and for the first three days iwas in vapeing heven till about an hour ago when i hit it and it was nice then a folowup hit and it hissed faster than normal and tasted godaweful burnt chemical taste. now this carto is only a few days old and has had about 4ml's put through it.
I filled the outter tank and put a few drops in the top when i first got it and it worked flawlessly. after that i never added any liquid to the top cotton part. is that why it messed up and what exactly messed up and casued it. I belive that since its dual coil that the top qoil got dry and popped is this correct? on all the tutorials on how to fill DCT's it jsut says add drops to the outter tank and the pre-punched hole will do the rest . but what i wanna know is are you supposed to also add drops to the top coil or is the prepunched hole enuf to handle the job? its a good thing i ordered the 5 pack of replacement cartos i jsut want to know what i did wrong so i dont go through the whole 5 pack in one week lol

here is the exavt tank i have Dragonfly TurboTank DCT XL Set (6ml) (DFLYTTDCTXLS) is there somewhere that sells replacement flanged and punched cartos i can use with it that will work good with my new provari i herd that single coils and high ohms are better so is there a single coil high ohm carto that will fit in my tank

I would say avoid the DCT from madvapes. I've had mine 2 weeks and its leaking

well this isnt the one from madvapes its the one from dragonfly and it is differnt than theone madvapes has, the one i have doesnt leak a wink it works awesome its the carto im having the issue with

I was pointing out that they look disturbingly similar, almost identical beside the drip tip.

My experience is with the madvapes tank.

But i filled my cartos from the mouth piece side using the carto condom method, than inserted them in the tank, filled tank and vaped. It worked great for me, well until it started leaking from the bottom seal

I've only been using carto tanks a short time now, and haven't come across this problem yet. A couple thoughts off the top of my head though...

Maybe the juice you're using is too thick and/or you're vaping heavily enough that the juice wasn't wicking fast enough and the carto singed. Or, although there was still juice in the tank, the lvl was below the punch, so it wasn't wicking. Or, the carto just died, as cartos do

if you look at the other picture on madvapes the top of the carto comes a good quater of an inch out of the top of the tank mine sits flush this it must be a diffetnt tank and mine doesnt leak also did you continue to drip in the top part becasue it would seem to me that the top coil woud dry out even if filled at first becasue the bottom has like 5ml's to feed off of the top not so much

They must be carrying a different tank now..

Once I filled the carto and the tank I didn't have an issue with it until I was down to the last 1/3 of the tank when I would just top it off.

I'm so glad I don't have a CC.

I have everything I need: 2 ego 650 passthroughs, a box of resurrectors, a few smoketek dual coil cartos(for the flavor I like a bit cooler with a bit more vapor volume)

My POS 510 starter kit gets passed from Noob to Noob. When they order their gear, I loan them my little batteries and HR attys to get started. It hasn't been a complete waste of money, I'd just rather have an extra passthrough to do the job, so the noobs can get a good vape and not deal with the battery annoyance.

I've spent a little over $100 on hardware so far. Perhaps I'll get a VV mod when my tax money comes in. No hurry.

yeah that mod with the tank on it is a 900mah passthrough and i love it . i mostly use it cus it last all day and i can vape wile it charges so all my onther ego batterys really never get to fire up unless my girlfriend feels like a vape wich is very rare...
but if anyone is thinking about getting a tank the one from dragonfly e cigs is really good quality i like it but the guy on the phone from dfly isnt real friendly so i want to find a diff supplyer that sells the EXACT tank and cartos in hi ohms

So I just ordered an ego t and I was interested in getting a tank like this.. Sadly, I'm in Canada and having a hard time finding decent suppliers... My first order is coming from vaporgeek and apparently they are selling a 4 ml tank Ike yours but they only carry a low 1.5 ohm carto... I heard the low ones are bad for ego batteries... Any ideas who sells the higher ones like 2 ohms with a good quality tank?

i think madvapes has higher ohm pre punched cartos. and if you can d get thet ank from dragonfly e cigs. or try clouds of vape they also have higher ohm prepunched cartos for the tank

Sorry to burst your bubble but i can almost guarantee the tank you have is the same as the ones they sell on madvapes. I have 2 of them from madvapes and they sit flush at the top. The pic in the link doesn't represent the product very well. Also Smoktech is the only company "mass" producing these. Dragonfly has rebranded these and upped the price.

I have the dct from madvapes and its been working like a champ but it's only about 1.5 weeks old. When I first got it, it seemed like it wasn't absorbing the liquid through the prepunched hole very well so I took a screw and a hammer to the hole to make it only SLIGHTLY bigger. While I was at it I went ahead and punched another hole on the adjacent side.

When I purchased it they only had 1.5 ohm so I tried it then ordered some more cartos in 2.5 ohm. When I got the new cartos I was thinking the same thing as OP and didn't see the top part of the filling soaking up the liquid so while I had the hammer and screw out I thought it would be smart to put a couple holes near the top of the carto and the result is a tank that I can only fill half way and can't lean on it side because if any juice gets in the top holes it floods the carto and gurgles and I get juice in my mouth. So that wasn't such a good idea but we live and learn. Making the original hole bigger and putting a second hole adjacent from the original was a good idea though and the juice flows and soaks up perfect.
