While the lavatube is going to max out at about 2.5 amps (just like a Provari) and you are thus not going to be able to go up to 6V with it, DCTs are definitely something a lot of people use with lavatubes.

I am mostly using repairable atomizers with my VV mods, occasionally 510s, so those are also options you could use. What you don't need with most VV mods is low resistance atomizers, since you won't be able to use a large part of the available voltage settings.

Did you get a dual coil cartomizer for the tank? Or are you just using a large single coil cartomizer. If you can find xxl single coil cartomizers that fit, those might be better.

A couple other tanks you might want to look at that also hold single coils regular cartos...

Submarine tank (mom and pops vapor)
Chibi tank (parkesvaping)
J-tank (electronicstix)

The DCT tank is a good tank for the price (I'm using one right now), but I find dual coils to be over-rated...the vapor production increase, in comparison to how much juice you burn through, doesn't seem worth it. Plus you woehn't get maximum potential out of your lavatube. I reccomend you either find longer cartomizers that will fit onto your DCT tank (You just flip the tank upside down, so that the grooved bottom sits on top)....

what do you mean repairable atomizers

Like the Bulli-Smoker A2, Golden Greek iAtty, Genisis-type atomizers, etc. (if you google it you will find plenty of information).
Advantages are that you only need to replace the heating coil/wick instead of the whole thing (which is a lot cheaper) and that you can vary the vaping behavior by changing the number of coils etc.
