You can try blowing out the cartomizer but you will have to remove it from the tank first (pour your juice back into it's bottle).
Did it flood itself or did you accidentally pour juice down it when filling?
If it flooded on its own, you may have too large or too many holes in the carto for the juice you're using (thin). If that is the case, the only option is to replace the carto with one with fewer or smaller holes then clean/save this one for thicker juice.
Oh yeah, when you blow out the carto, do it from the drip-tip end and put your fingers over the holes in the side of the carto. You want to blow it out through the air inlet holes at the base of the carto. Then, wipe of the connector before reusing.
P.S. Glad you resisted the urge to go for an analog. You might want to get a few plain ol' non-punched cartomizers and fill them with your fave juice then keep those with you as emergency backups to your tank.
You weren't fiddling with the tank caps (pulling off and popping back on) while the carto and juice were in it, were you? I've done than and manage to flood the snot out of it.
I had an issue similar to the OP. single hole in cart, 60/40 juice with no problems in other tanks set up the same way...came down to the o-rings on the tank cap itself...with a little fiddling it was back in service with no problems.
