I was thinking about switching to the DCT tank for my vamo. I know that it is the 510 thread. but is the VAMO? I am currently using the eGo-C tanks. Has anyone got any info on them? and what are your thoughts about the tanks. PROs and CONs please

Sorry, I have to say your post is a bit confusing. It sounds like you own a Vamo, but at the same time it sounds like you're asking if the Vamo has 510 threads. Then you say you're currently using eGo-C tanks and then ask for info on them. If you're using them, what info do you need? Also, do you want thoughts about the DCT tank or the eGo-C tank? PRO's and Con's of what?

I'm just totally confused!

Supposing that you know that the Vamo uses 510 threads, I will advise you that Carto Tanks Dual Coil or Single Coil, will work, however you may need to vent the tank by either drilling a hole through the drip well, or use an adaptor. Using an adaptor will raise the tank above the flat rim and does not have an appealing look to me, so I used a 1/16th inch carbide drill to drill a small hole into the drip well in order to provide air for the tank to breathe. A third option is to fit a small piece of paper between the bottom of the tank and the top of the drip well to allow air into the tank. Personally I use the Artemas Tank along with 2.0 and 3.0 Ohm Smoktech single coil, double punched flanged cartos, designed specifically for the Artemas Tank. They last me about 2 weeks before needing cleaning (rinsing out), then can be used for another week or two before I toss them. Th3 Artemas Tank has never leaked on me, vapes well with excellent flavor using the above cartos. In addition, the tanks and cartos are "inexpensive".

I own a VAMO. I am currently using the eGo-c tank setup... I am wanting to go to the DCT. some people say that the tank is good and others say that different ones are better, I was seeing what people's thoughts were about different tanks as opposed to the DCT.

Well, that helps a bit! :)

To me, tanks are tanks are tanks. DCT tanks all use cartos and so it's not so much the tank, but the cartos. Basically, you choose the tank you like to look at, whether glass or plastic, or one that fits the amount of liquid you want to carry, figure the cost you're willing to pay, and then you buy it. At the same time you read about which cartos are recommended and then buy some of those. Many people like Boge, but personally, I've never used them. I use Volcano tanks with their dual coil cartos, and for no particular reason... they just happened to come with my Inferno kit when I bought it. The carts are decent, but I have no idea how they compare to others. I rarely use my DCT's anymore though as I drip just about 100% of the time.

On the other hand, some of my juices actually taste better in a carto and so I still do have a few tanks loaded. The major drawback with these juices however is that they clog the cartos in a short period of time... depending on how much I vape them, of course. Short for me could mean two weeks. Some juices clog less, and some juices simply taste terrible in a carto. You wouldn't think a juice would taste terrible dependent on the delivery system, but it happens.

Another thing about tanks is that since the carto is sitting inside and the heating element is basically heating the juice, I've found that some of my juices don't like it. The heat changes the juice flavor over time. I tend to run only a few select juices in tanks since they might be sitting there for some time.

My recommendation is you try to obtain a decent tank, not too expensive, but decent, then buy a few cartos in dual coil, and single coil configuration. Try not to go too high on the ohm ratings, if you have a choice, so that your Vamo can handle the carts easily.

Sometimes what it takes is that you just have to try things out to see if you'll like them or not. You can read and read about people's experiences but in the end you just have to go for it. That's what I've always ended up doing... to my wallet's dismay!

Thanks for that. I think ill just have to bite the bullet and get one. I mean hell its only 12 bucks

There you go! There you goooo!

Yah, I mean really, you got nothing to lose. How else you gonna find out for yourself, right?

Oh... actually, I just thought of another way. Some B&M's and kiosks have tanks loaded. You might try visiting some of these places if they're nearby. Good luck!

I found out something about DCT tanks not long ago...I bought 6 ML and 3 ML DCT setups and found out quickly that if your not careful, the tanks can slide up the cart and make an nasty juice mess...it made traveling with them undo-able for me. I bought a couple UDCT tanks from SmokTech (There's also one called the "Artemus" that's basically identical) that has grooves on the bottom that lock the flange on the bottom of the cart to keep it from spinning and a ring on the bottom that screws on to keep it from moving up the cart. No more messes....I really like the setup a lot...
