Can anyone tell me the difference between this tank:
Electronic Cigarette - Cartomizers - DCT - Carto Tank
and a clearomizer?
GotVapes FLuXomizer™ SUPREME CLEAR 510 XL 1.8ml 2.4-2.6ohm [gotvapes-clr510XL2.4-ce2supreme] - $11.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

I have tried clearomizers & didn't like them, but this tank seems interesting to me. I would like anyones opinion about the similarities/differneces before I fork out the money.

TIA for any info on these 2 products!

Out of the 2, you are better off with the DCT. I had nothing but cracking with the clearomizers. You can mod them but who really wants to do that all the time? The DCT can withstand more abuse, holds more liquid, and will last way longer than the clearo's. Get yourself either 1.7ohm resurrectors from crystalclearvaping.com or some dual coil cartomizers from just about any vendor but buy the one that suits your battery. Basically, if you use 3.7V, I would go with the 1.7ohm and for higher voltages unless is VV, go with the dual coils (best at 5-6V).

Short answer? It's a crapshoot.
The majority of tanks utilize cartomizers which means that yes, no matter how wet you get them, you will still be buring some plastic. There are a few, however that are modded to use the innards of a ce2. These seem like a more reasonable method. The newer ce2s do not crack, by the way. They do require some tweaking though. Personal preference is what it always boils down to. My own would point you toward the newer ce2 ultimates/fluxos as they arent huge and unwieldly on a moderately sized mod nor do they have as much penchant for leaking. Either way you will end up replacing the cartos/clearos inside the tank, and, as such, i see little to recommend the purchase of a tank system. Question is, what draws your fancy?

I think what I take out of this is that one should try both and make their own decision. I am personally using resurrectors but i think i am going to order some CE2's to try and also a tank. this way, I will experience all options...since none of them are that expensive, why not:)

the fluxomizers from gotvapes.com work awesome. they keep updating the technology to make them better, this current version is the best yet, the tubes are near indestructible, easy to fill, look great, don't leak, and taste awesome. if you like ease of use and better taste, i would go with the fluxomizers. they easily last at least 3 weeks for each one for me. i also have a tank i use, and i like it, but if i had to pick, it would be fluxomizers. although I'm buying a new phiniac tank soon to use too, so pretty.

what's your PV? I have a e-power 14650 and wondered if the 2.4 is low enough to get a good hit from 3.7v? I use resurrectors right now and I like the vapor, but I do taste the filler:(

Yep, 2.4 is low enough to work well on 3.7V. I second the fluxomizer recommendation. You might have to do a little tweaking with the silicone plug on the inside, but that depends a lot on the viscosity of your juice. With thinner juice, you might get by just fine without messing with them at all. With thicker juice, you might want to look at some of the tweaks on the Gotvapes forum or on their website. AFAIK, there are no CE2 based cartos that work perfectly, out of the box, with thick juices.

If they're in stock, you might also want to take a look at the vision stone 3 tanks. I've had tremendous luck with them. The innards are replaceable for about $3 and last me over a month of heavy vaping. The version 3 is miles ahead of the version 2. They don't leak and, IMO, are the perfect blend of a large capacity tank and the clean taste of a properly working CE2.

I'm currently using both the CE4+ / Vision / Crystal Clearomizers and a DCT with pre-punched Resurrectors from CCV ($25 for15).

In the DCT I keep my straight up high nic tobacco juice and use it to keep the stinky monster away. In the Clearomizers I have 2 setup with different flavors to satisfy my sweet tooth and love for flavor swapping.

Doing nothing but repeatedly pouring in more of the exact same juice in the DCT the carto has lasted me 3 weeks now. This setup seems to me to be the clear "economic" winner.

The newest Clearo's however are also serving their purpose quite admirably. They are more convenient for flavor switching and easier to fill. I think for flavor I'd have to tip the scales slightly in favor of the clearos in my opinion. But they do seem to require cleaning much more often than I have to replace the cartos in the DCT.

So it really comes down to your vaping preferences and economic concerns.

Fluxomizer or Clearomizer, tough choice! I really want to try both...lol... I think I will leave the tank for another month and try and get both this month. I am not vaping that much, so a carto should be really good, and I really like the idea of seeing how much juice I have and no filler:) Do either of you know if both of these will fit on the e-power and allow me to put the cone on? Thanks for both of your recommendations!

Can you post a link to the clearomizer you are referring to? I just want to be sure:)

Thanks!

I like both. The new Fluxomizer Supremes just came out last Thurs night so I haven't tried them yet but they should be arriving tomorrow. Not having tried either, I would say get the DCT first because they are super reliable great working tanks. The Fluxos/CE2 on the other hand tend to require a little more tinkering and knowledge about how to vape them to insure they stay wicked properly but they offer TONS of vaper and TONS of flavor. I like to use the Fluxo/CE2s in the morning with my cup of joe while I vape my sweeter smoother juices. When I leave the house I use nothing but the DCT just because I know I will not have any problems and I don't have to carry any backup supplies while I am away.

The fluxomizers and clearomizers are so much alike that, if I were you, I'd just stick with the newest version of the Fluxomizers. They both work on the CE2 principle and if you hate one, chances are you'll hate them both. The new Fluxomizers are supposed to be improved over the previous model, so your best chance of success will probably be with them. If you really like the Fluxomizers, then maybe try the other CE2 clearomizers. If those work well for you, you can save some cash because they are usually a bit cheaper. One of the biggest advantages of the Fluxos is that the cartridge material is much better and less prone to cracking than the cartridge of the normal CE2 clearomizers.

Some clearomizer/fluxomizer types are too big around to fit through the cone in your kgo/ego. I use the type of clearomizer called the CE3. They just barely fit through the cone. Sometimes, I have to put them through the bottom of the cone before I attach it. They seem to have a little lip that interferes. If you have problems fitting them through the cone but you like the Fluxos, you can get a cone with a slightly wider hole at the tip. I think Liberty Flights carries them and Gotvapes might have them too.

Thanks expat007, I am going to go with a box of the newest fluxomizers. Let you know what I think when they get here.

Happy vaping!:vapor:

Thanks!

These are the ones I actually purchased. But apparently I spent a little too much.

Got vapes has them on sale about a dollar less.

Discount vapers has them for even a little less. And they also have their very own version with longer wicks for less hassle and supposedly even better quality plastic tubes. But they come in clear only with no resistance options.

Oh but all of these are designed to fit right onto an Ego style batt having their own little cone built in. For use on VV mod an adapter may be needed.

Did I understand you correctly that the CE4+ is its own cone, as in no nasty gap at the bottom? From the pics, I think that's what you mean? :)

Yes Indeed.

That's why they call them Ego Clearomizers. They fit perfectly onto Ego style batteries.

On a side note: It's easy to see now why newer vapers have such a hard time. The same product has 3 different names on 3 different sites.

1) eGO Elegance Clearomizer 1.6ml ViSION
2) VISION eGo Stardust™ 1.6ml TC Carto
3) Vision eGo CE4+ Clearomizer

Stuff like that only adds to the confusion when people are being inundated with a flood of new information.

Totally agree, this is why my head keeps spinning, information overload. But, I'm sure as a few more weeks go by I will get the hang of this. It's definitely a bunch of trial and error. Just ordered 2 new flavors from ecblends (Creme de Menthe and black licorice), so now I just need to make a decision on this one so I can try them out without filler.
