De lime in de coconut?

Sooo...I'm not really in love with the key lime pie I ordered recently. I'm thinking of mixing a bit of coconut cream pie in to tone it down a bit.

Should I? Has anyone else tried this? Should I just order some Vanilla custard to mix in instead?

How long have you had the Key Lime? Mine took about a month to be perfectly aged. Lime and coconut would be good together, though. Might mix up a small batch and see what if you like it.

I tried adding coconut to a little bit of my key lime, but I didn't like it at all. It still tasted like key lime with coconut. If you don't like it, there are a lot of people that do, just trade it. The vanilla custard is really good, but I am not too sure what it would taste like with key lime. Chances are, if you don't like the flavor, nothing you add is going to fix it. Save yourself the headache and trade it for something you like.

I ordered a big ol' bottle o' Vanilla Custard, so I'm going to try that with my KLP. I'll mix a wee 3ml. trial batch to see how it goes. Personally, I think it needs a bit of lemon, too. I'll report back with the results.
