De Minimis Tariff
As of May 2, 2025, the de minimis tariff exemption for low-value shipments from China and Hong Kong has ended, following an executive order signed by President Donald Trump in April. This change means that packages valued at $800 or less, which previously entered the U.S. duty-free, are now subject to tariffs as high as 145%, leading to higher prices for consumers and potential delays in shipments
