So I purchased a 510 kit from Cignot and I dug it.
Less than a month and the PCC doesn't work anymore. Won't charge batteries.
I did not contact Cignot because I read that their equipment has a 14 day guarantee.

Is this normal for a PCC? I really liked it but don't want to throw money away on another one if they are that unreliable.

Nope, that's not normal at all...But with a little more info, I might be able to help you!! :)

-What kind of PCC is it (standard or Mega)
-Does the PCC display the bottom LED as red when plugged-in and green when plugged-in and fully charged?
-Which, if any, of the LED indicators light up, and if so, under what circumstances?
-What shape's your lid in? By this, I mean does it open and close perfectly? Does it appear deformed (such as not properly lined-up when you close it) in any way?

I'm fairly knowledgeable when it comes to these, I'll try to get you back in business as best I can. Let me know, I'll put my brain to work! :D

I had one from cignot do the same thing and I contacted them, sent non-working pcc back, and they sent a replacement no worries.
They are great gals that stand behind their products.
The replacement has worked perfectly for months. They told me some of the pcc's have issues with the lid mechanism.

I have not had good luck with 510 pcc's. IMO they are garbage. The first one I had would charge a battery only sometimes. I contacted cignot and sent me a new one right away. The second one they sent me. Same issues. I didn't have the heart to say anything. I mean it worked. But never knew when it actually would. I said the hell with a pcc and went with an ego. So much happier.

Hmmm...

The middle light's supposed to go "off" when you plug it in, not on! Sooo, looks like yours has some kind of wild defect or short...I bet you the good people at Cignot would be willing and able to help you out, most companies that have such short *posted* warranty's are still willing to help people out. They're just trying to keep people from abusing the system in this manner. :)

So, yeah...Give 'em a call. That's what I would do if I were you. Oh, and tell them you took your problem to the ECF to be certain before calling. They'll appreciate that you looked for a solution first! :D
