Dead 510 PCC

My PCC is a couple months old, and today it stopped putting power out into the batteries. It will still charge itself, but the batteries don't seem to be making a connection. Is there anything I should try to fix it?

you can try to clean the contact in the pcc with a cue tip soaked in rubbing alcohol.

Yep....I had to use PGA once with a Q tip...it was really bad. Also as a last resort you can take a little bit of fine grain sandpaper and mold it around the Q tip, scotch tape it tight and GENTLY twist it on the contact. Whatever method you use, take some canned air and get out all the extra crap you loosened.......good luck!

Huh, that's good advice. I had one die, and I bought a new one and threw the old one away...big mistake! Then, I found out that some suppliers sell the batteries that fit them. I wonder if the batteries eventually just give out...they aren't exactly coppertops. My second one has now died; I'll try cleaning!

More times than not, the simple cleaning act will bring them back (assuming the internal battery will still charge).
