Hey not sure if right place, but if a li-ion battery sits and discharges itself to A point where my multimeter can't read it. Then there is no ressurectining this right?

Don't worry thia isn't vape related just didn't know where else to get reliable info

yeah there is google it
theres a jump start method
I have used it with cell phone batts works really well

if it charges then holds that charge it will be fine until it wont hold a charge.--
Monitor that charging very closely if it gets warm to hot stop it throw it out..
Thanks that's exactly what I'm trying to revive a cell phone battery for my galaxy s2,
Iv been googlinh like crazy lol, I've read a freezing might work, also that yhe jump start method was for nicads not li-ion,
But I might try it what did you use to jump, I read a half second touch of 12v

Bare wire usb to plus and minus on batts, the middle if you have a middle contacts is an internal helper antennae, the usb is more than sufficient. It will jump to 3.6v instantly ~2mins or less Ive done 3 of them to success the one I use is now 6+ months old, its a 2004 battery too tested with a drain app shows its a new battery.. This battery was deader than a doorknob before I jump started it, phone wasn't used since 05-06'... Sister gave it to me she goes thru a phone every year.. It was uber for a 05 phone Samsung stratosphere..

The oem batts have an internal board for overcharging them it will auto-stop the charging at ~4.1-2v automatically on the usb,
works a treat. Then you can use your regular charger again or keep usb charging --is what I do.. Not safe not dangerous as long as monitored I guess IDK its doing fine and like I said it shows as new battery. I do use the regular charger but it takes so long compared to danger usb charging..

The dollar store carries usb cords if you don't have an extra to cut up. Those 1.00 cords usually have weird color power pos usually a yellow wire if they don't have it properly red and neg always black; green and white are for data on all usb wires cut those back do not use. Good wires always have red for pos, black neg..

I do it the same way as her

I just buy new ones for backup. At +/- $5 each, it's not worth my time to try and rejuvenate them. I have 4 of them around for my Galaxy Nexus and they come in handy when I'm somewhere it's not convenient to charge.

Amazon.com: batteries for galaxy s2: Cell Phones & Accessories

Next month I'm eligible for a Verizon upgrade. I'm comparing the Galaxy S5 and the LG G3. I'm leaning toward the G3 for the 5.5" HD 1080p display. The processors are identical and the G3 is 3GB ram. The S5 is 2GB with a 5.1" display. Side by side performance test and features comparisons still make me lean toward the G3.

Then, it will be new backup battery purchase time.
