Deal Extreme- Not Happy

I ordered some TrustFire 14500 batteries from Deal Extreme on Oct. 22nd. The order didn't even ship until the 27th. That was enough to irritate me a little.

I should have known better than to accept free shipping from China as well.

The delivery estimate was 7-10 business days. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited out the 10 business days. No batteries.

I went to their website to lodge a complaint and try to find out where my batteries were. Apparently I have to give them up to 14 business days from the date they were shipped before they will actually do anything about it. That will put the date up to next Tuesday or Wednesday.

I really shoulda known better. The price with the free shipping was just too good to pass up but I shouldn't have to wait almost a MONTH for my purchase to arrive, should I? I figured a couple of weeks since it was being shipped from China. But they waited a week before they even processed and shipped the order!

It will be a cold day you know where before I will use Deal Extreme again. I need those batteries badly and this waiting game sucks. I just wish I could find someplace local to buy 3.7V batteries and not have to deal with this hassle at all. I'd gladly play the extra for them!

As above........ DX is for "future" supply purchasing by ordering in advance. Definately not for urgent requirements, lol..

My orders have ALWAYS taken 4-6 weeks to get into my hands here in Canada. The savings are great if your stocking ahead of time.

I don't think I'd be as upset about the shipping time if they hadn't waited a week to even process the order. There's no excuse for that unless you're ordering something custom made. This was just a handful of batteries and shoulda been tossed out the door within a day or two.

I placed an order around the same time (October 20th) at Deal Extreme and it came with free tracking, I just got an update that it left Honk Kong as of November 15th at 8:00 AM. Wait won't be too much longer hopefully. I ordered as an advance supply purchase, but one of my 18650's died last week and I'm thinking this is going to be a photo-finish between my new ones arriving and my last remaining one dying.



-edit- Order was processed/shipped on the 25th of October. Only 2 days ahead of you, so should expect a similar arrival date as me. I'll post an update in this thread when I receive my package.

-edit2- From my understanding, it may be possible to find a local B&M that carries batteries for your mod. Any place that sells the flashlights that use the same batteries. Example: Police/Security accessories store.

They tried to rip me off for some money one time. Thank goodness I used Paypal. I filed a complaint and they agreed to give it back. Never did see any batteries after a month and a half so I told them to refund but they wanted to keep part of it. Use Dino next time they have great deals. Deal xtreme will never get a cent of mine again.

They are slow as hell, but I've had good luck with them. I received a bad battery once and the give me a refund with no questions asked, but still, I probably wouldn't order from them if I needed something sooner than later.

Update - Forgot to mention I ordered 2 separate times on the same day. Anyways, I got one package today in the mail, the one without any tracking confirmation.

My wife said they FINALLY showed up in the mail this afternoon.
Now I'll have to charge the things when I get home so I'll have a decent vape tomorrow at work.

I have 6 more batteries and a second charger coming from Mad Vapes.
I ordered them on Tuesday and I'll bet I have those by Saturday or Monday at the latest.

Every DX order takes 4 to 6 weeks for me as well but I always get them. Waiting on one order now that has been split into 3 separate orders due to supply, they will split your order and send what they can asap but the rest will only ship when restocked. Overall, its a great site but as Greg mentioned, no good for times in need!

PS...The juice is great!
