I bought the Panasonic 3100 MAH (single protected) NCR18650A batteries (Grand) and each charge will give me more than four times the life compared to the AW IMR 18350 batteries (VV Grand).......................Apples and seedless red grapes.:p
I have used the AW IMR 18650 batteries and the NCR Panasonics and I haven't noticed a difference in power.
The NCR Panasonics are cheaper and last twice as long as the IMR AWs.
I did notice that the Panasonics did out power the AW IC 3100 MAH 18650 batteries.
I'm impressed with the Lithium Cobalt technology that the NCR Panasonics are using.
The Panasonic NCR platform was tested as one of the best performing cells by CandlePower forum.
Most of the highest performing 18650 batteries that they tested were the NCR Panasonics that were re-branded and PCB'd by other manufacturers.
The Panasonic IMR and hybrid batteries are closely matched to the AW IMR cells.
Unfortunately,Panasonic doesn't offer 18350 batteries.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy the Panasonics especially at that great price.

Seeing that the REO's are made to fit the AW IMR batteries I tend to stick with them. I am wondering the length on those Panasonic you are using. I am thinking that your spring is probably compressed way to far to be able to collapse. I may be wrong, but until I see pics of any other battery in a REO I will stay far away.
To me having the short protection offered by a spring that can and will collapse is worth more than a little more battery.

Good point Nerak.
The height of the NCR batteries are only 65.2 mm and are about the same length as the IMR AWs'.
The positive terminal is flat and without a nipple.
The AW P18650 3100mAh are a lot longer and after conferring with Rob I quit using them because they compressed the spring way too much.
Also, the three points on the negative pole would hang-up on the spring.
For the sake of safety and longevity I recharge the batteries at 4 volts.

Thank you very much! Those Panasonic are not the usual grey that I have seen. I looked them up and see that they are Protected and do not say IMR.

It is good to see them in the Grand for size.

I have been using them for six months and they work as well as any other battery that I have tried.
You can buy them for under $10 each.

Heck, I might try these batteries.

Where did you buy them? Are you sure they won't "wear out" the spring eventually? (I guess you are if you have been using them for 6 months and new springs from Rob don't cost much anyway.) I have 2 spare springs now for emergencies, but does the spring "spring back up" at all when you take the battery out for charging, etc.?

Thanks,

Norman

So just register on Blaze and its automatic? I got nothing comfirning a free kit?

You go to the page listed then click where they say to go to the site. Then you click on the FaceBook thing. That's why I mentioned you must FB. If you do that then go back to the site and click on the "I liked" and it will show you a form to fill in your name and addy. Then you pick menthol or tobacco. I got two emails confirming.

Thanks Karen I've been to that page 10 times already then "LIKED" still no form. Yes Im logged in.

If you clicked where it said "share us on facebook" with the two hands. A pop up app will show and you agree to allow it. Then go back to the starting page and click the little box where it says "I shared Blaze on Facebook" a form pops up that will ask for your name and info to ship.
