hmmm, running stacked batteries of course needs to be done in an extremely vented mod, I personally run 6v on my reo grand. Reos pricing and availability may not be what you need though... So I would suggest a bolt with the extension sleeve, but If I were to stack batteries in it, I would get out the tools and make some venting slots in it. also the roughstack may be a good option for you. Happy hunting :)

Thanks Sammy. I'm trying to decide if i want to get another VV device (I have the varicool smokbox), or if it will be cheaper for me to get a 6v device. i really only need 6v of power, not necessarily VV. but if VV is cheaper, then thats the way to go for me.

seems like another box might be the way to go, especially once i add in the cost of different batteries and the respective charger. not to mention the venting thing. i really dont want a non-vented device.

yeah, regulated mods are sweet (as you know) I get great battery life running 6v on my grand, but to be honest I dont feel completely safe running stacked batteries without protection circuitry. I am hanging on until the VV grand is released. I prefer 6v, but the 5.5v that the reo vv offers will be perfect for 2.5 ohms. I feel better knowing that there is short circuit protection etc. An unprotected mod is just that... unprotected. I know that they are relatively safe to use, but if you can use something safer, then why not. I got away from cigs to reduce harm, not to risk getting burned, or blown up. :D

Here's another for ya in case (like me) you're a little leary of short lived close out models with no kind of warranty or support.

This one's $43.99 but from what I've read they're always sold out. There's currently 2 available at the time of this post.

And a review that basically says "some good features but it's nothing fancy". Oh and this one has a 3amp limit and will do LR no prob.

the madvapes box has glue. i think im going to stalk one out. the $20 mod is enticing, but i dont have the right batts for it nor the charger. but i do have the right batts and charger for the madbox. so the $20 mod ends up being the same price as the other one after i get all necessary supplies. thanks for your help Trav.

NP Enjoy!

Though you may want to give this one a look too. Supposedly available on the 29th. Ovale V8 Incremental VV Body - Black

$29 for just the body, $49 for the full kit.

Pbussardo gives the V6 (dunno what happened to V7?) a somewhat mixed review. But overall says "it works" and gives a great vape. This V8 one is completely variable (vs 3 settings) and I'm assuming they fixed some of the negatives of the V6 in the V8.

And this one's just weird. Looks pretty cool but a little higher priced. Innokin ITaste Intelligent Variable Voltage VV

Not sure what to make of it, I like it and I don't at the same time.

Oh and here's a promo vid for the ITaste from Gotvapes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wy1Lds2NQas

Yeah but something I realized later, that iTaste only goes to 5v not 6. Could put a damper on the coolness factor.

I do like how it looks, especially with it's own "Tidy10 clearomizers" on it. However if it couldn't use other feed devices, I'd stay away for sure. I hate being locked in to overpriced proprietary junk, especially when it's performance is still an unknown.

But it does seem to allow most any and all connector type devices to be used with it. In fact it has a surprising amount of options.

Most of my vaping is right around 5v anyway so I'm not sure how much of a damper that 5v limit would be. But I do like to have the option and a little in reserve never hurts.

A little pricier and I think if I got it it would be more of a collector piece or toy for me. The pen cap part would be nice for work, but I get the impression it would only work with their "Tidy10's" on it.

I could see the V8 though being like an all day at work box since I've got more of an office type job (I.T.). Not so much for say a construction site LOL

The latest version of the LT, has a 4 amp limit, I bought mine from vaporbeast.com lasy week, I love it, and it maxes out at 6v. It was the whole kit for 68.99, great price on the 1.5/3.0 version of the LT. problem is he is sold out for at least another week. If you can wait I would get this kit From him. if you contact him, Tim, hewill respond right away!

i agree it does bring down the coolness factor being a 5v max, not the worst thing in the world, but still. the problem im having with it is that it appears to be an unregulated device. the spec that says that it will shut down once the device drops below 3.3v leads me to believe that its unregulated. otherwise, the voltage would never drop. i believe it would simply cease to function regardless of the voltage if it were truly regulated. the tidy clearos do look cool but the points you bring up regarding the pen cap and being propritary do pose issues.
