Decided to (re) jump into the Vape pool!

Hello!

About a year ago I had bought my self a Joye 510 kit from HappyVapor, due to me being a bit of a newb (still am..) I did not know there juice came with no nicotine. Tsk tst, it was even posted there but of course, I was so e static D) in ordering I ordered w/o any thought to it.

Fast forward 1 week in, while I was really liking the juice I was just not getting my nic fix and was having a few analogs along the way. Soon after I made the mistake of leaving my 510 and charger in my car, (which me and my sister use to share) she had taken it on a road trip.. lo-behold when I got the car back.. my charger and 510 was gone and gave up vape till now!

I am sick of smoking those nasty cigarettes, I really am wanting to quit... so I did a bit of research this time before jumping in head first. I have purchased a 510 charger from MadVapes and 2 of there juices (Dekang tobacco and Cotton Candy [this time 24mg! for my fixes]) I still have one of my 510s that came with the kit with its atty. and will really give it a shot this time around. I will have to make due for now with just 1 PV but I can see my self totally ordering an eGo come some time!

the eGo is a good lil battery and if you order from Liberty flights you get a 6 month warranty, which, isn't a bum deal-
also their prices are pretty good-
look into cartomizers, as they can make quite the diffie when it comes to the vaping experience-

Congrats and welcome (back)! It was a bit of a struggle for me to get started with some good nic juice in the GTA but I found a few places -- and there are a fair bit more of them now across Canada, despite Health Canada's attempts to keep a vaper down. But we're growing in numbers here by the day and the vendors are starting to stand up for themselves and organize and things are starting to look up a little bit here, so keep vaping. Tons of options for us Canucks out there, whether in the country our outside of it.

Hi and welcome. It's good to hear you are giving it another shot.

Take a look at these batteries to see if you can use them. It's ok to charge the bigger batteries with the low current chargers (it takes longer), but you shouldn't charge the small batteries with the high current chargers because it charges the little batteries too fast. eGo Style 900mah Battery

Edit: Question... would any Canadian or even American happen to know if there is danger for ordering nicotine cross border? I have read some stuff about Health Canada and the FDA really cracking down on that. For which I am sure is because of Tobacco sales... >.<

Correct. You just need an atomizer and either a drip tip or an empty 510 cartridge. Drip tips just make it easier to drip liquid without removing the cart.

The FDA isn't cracking down in the US anymore since they lost their own fight to a SCOTUS decision to regulate E-cigarettes instead of trying to ban them or classify them as drug delivery devices. Unfortunately we in Canada are with Health Canada about where the FDA was a year ago or so; HC wants to ban all E-cig stuff. Until recently they were only banning nic liquids but it seems like the wheels are in motion as we speak to ban all paraphernalia related to E-cigarettes. But like I said, things are in the works to fight HC on this front, and I truly hope to see an outcome like that of the US or UK.

There is always a risk of your shipment being refused at the border, but there are some vendors (of which MadVapes is one) who are, shall we say, sympathetic to our plight here and will take the steps necessary to see that our packages have a greatly improved chance of making it across the border unmolested. It's still no guarantee but I've yet to lose a package yet.

Not to worry. Even if worse came to worst there are some in Canada who wouldn't mind setting up some kind of vaper's underground railroad to get our stuff. But we have Canadian vendors standing up and taking steps necessary to start fighting city hall, as it were, and hopefully we can come to a similar resolution. Regardless though us vapers aren't going to just sit here and take it.

My pleasure. MadVapes is insanely fast for shipping, I'll say that. I've ordered from them twice -- both times on a Friday. I had both shipments the following Monday. My only gripe: A $15 invoice two weeks later from FedEx for duty/processing fees on one of the shipments because it had a high value. (Just the one.) But with only 2 juices you shouldn't have any issues, that should be below the $20 duty threshold.

Can't say much about the juices as I'm not a Dekang or tobacco-flavoured fan, but it's really hard to mess up cotton candy. MadVapes' juices are okay -- I've ordered a mess of 'em. Most of them were kind of meh, a few I didn't like. I really, really love their chocolate mint though. I have to get me a big-azz bottle of that.

TY very much! I am not new to forums by any stretch of the imagination, I post on about 2 (now 3) regularly and troll a lot more when I have free time. and so far I have found this one to be the most welcoming and knowledgeable (to there specific niche) compared to most. An update, by luck (or someone from MadVapes read my plea to ship today ) I just got an email from them informing me my order has been shipped and should get it tomorrow! I am really excited!

Nice. I took advantage of some of Juicy Vapors' sales a few weeks back. Ordered a total of 28 bottles in various sizes from 3ml up to 18 (reviews here and here in case you're interested, they've got a pretty decent turnaround too, though not like MadVapes, obviously) So I've got a crapload of juices at the moment. Trying to find one of the high profile ones that ships to Canada right now. So far, Kick Bass Vapor is a no-go unfortunately (they were #1 on my next-to-try list given all the amazing reviews they've had).

Coincidentally enough, that's actually a thing. Sometimes if a juice is to harsh or has a bit of a harsh taste, adding a few drops of cotton candy juice can smooth it out and make it taste a lot better -- not necessarily sweeter unless you add more, but it can smooth out harsh notes in tobacco vapes.

Also coincidentally, I was just vaping cotton candy. Swapped it out for some butter pecan earlier this morning.

Yeah, you've always got someone around here trying something different or new or crazy who stumbles upon something that actually works. It's part of why I love hanging around here. You pick up things you'd never have thought to try yourself.

Yeah, I'm kinda finding myself in that same spot -- so many flavours to sample, not enough money or time. I keep spending money that should be going to DIY on other vendors. Plus, I'm still a little nervous ordering 100mg flavourless tobacco from across the border, even though the vendor I'll be using told me he's had no trouble shipping here. Maybe in a month or two I'll test those waters.

EDIT: Well that figures. I just got an E-Mail from Box Elder that they're having a 50% off end-of-summer sale on their flavourless nic juice. Damn you, Box Elder! My credit card isn't ready yet!
