Decision Time, need help!

My wife and I are both looking to upgrade from the Tececig Revolution. I believe they are kr808's.

While the revolution does give us alot of vapor and a decent throat hit, the batteries constantly need recharged and tececig (mall vendor) is expensive. I would consider both of us medium to heavy vapors.

What we are looking for:
Bigger rips (more smoke, more th).
A good quality push-button manual battery that will last all day.
A cart/atomizer or cartomizer that holds enough liquid to last all day.
Drip tips to try different flavors without having to fill a cartridge.
Something we won't regret, still feeling the tececig buyer remorse.
Variable voltage is a plus but not a requirement. If we choose VV we want to experience it, so we would need atomizers with different resistances and multiple battery types.

What we have to spend: $135

We need two complete kits and we also want spares.

What we hope to get:

5 to 6 batteries (manual w/ 5 click on/off)

6 atomizers + 10 catridges/tanks OR 20 blank cartomizers
(We want to be set for 1-2 months, how long should these last us? Do we need more, could we get by with less?)

2 drip tips
(not sure how these work or if I need anything in addition to use them)

2 Chargers
5 10ml 36mg eliquid (to try different flavors)
*Would also consider enough DIY supplies to make at least 100ml and 5 flavors of 36mg

Options I am considering
KGO
ePower 14650
Roughstack Maxi V2
Lavatube

I would prefer to buy everything from one vendor, but would consider multiple vendors if the total is within budget.

If we choose the roughstack or lavatube, we could get only 1 this month and would share it (home use only). Our tececigs would be are on-the-go vape until we could afford another one.

I am open to opinions on what we should get. Are there better PV's within our budget that would meet our needs? Our main goal is long-term enjoyment and having spares. We would like to both get what we need this month, but are willing to share for a month if spending more is in our best interest. Sharing the roughstack at home for a month and vaping my revolution while I am out works for me. My wife is a little more apprehensive to that approach, but would go for it if others agree.

P.S. Tececigs green mint (kind of a mentholated double-mint gum taste) is what we are vaping now and we love it. We tried some spearmint from madvapes but it is almost flavorless. Perhaps it would be better on a different voltage or it was just a bad batch? The Kick ... Caramel tasted fine but is not our cup of tea. Anyone know of a good green mint/doublemint gum e-liquid that will leave me drooling? The wife is looking for a cinnamon that will knock her socks off.

Thanks for any help you can give!

I think you're on the right track with what you have selected.
Re. the Lavatube, you don't need various cartos, etc. Stick to 3ohms and you will have full range of voltages available. The optimum resistance for the LT is 3ohms.
A VV doesn't need different batteries either. You use the same battery for all voltages.

I'm not familiar with the Roughstack, but if you don't go overboard, you can keep within budget with the 14650 e-Powers.
I would suggest them over the kGos.

There are no better PVs to meet your budget and goals than the e-Powers. The kits come with 5 cartos, which should last a month for both you and your wife. All you would really need additionally would be may be some drip tips and a couple atomizers. You could stock up on more attys and cartos the following month if you needed to, so you'd have plenty of spares.

I'd recommend initially getting just a month or two worth of cartos and attys. Spend the extra cash on juice. That is too often overlooked. The next month you could get the balance of spare consumables and perhaps enough supplies to get your feet wet with DIY. By then, you'll have a better idea of your consumption rate on all consumbables and your preferences regarding cartos and attys, both brand and resistance.

For example
2X16450 ePowers at $90 (includes 10 cartos) New 5 click switch.
2 x atomizers at $15
2 x drip tips at $5
Shipping: generally free at that purchase level
Total $110 Less discounts.

Leaves $20-30 or more for juice and maybe an extra box of cartos. You can probably make that much worth of juice stretch a month if you shop judiciously.

Next month, pick up more juice, spare cartos an atty or two, etc.

Cartomizers usually last at least 1-2 weeks.
Drip tips are needed for atomizers. They're strongly suggested for cartos. Nothing extra is needed to use them.
Each kit comes with 2 batteries and 5 cartos.

You can get everything at hoosierecig.com and probably at other vendors as well.
Make sure you get the ePower with the blue light, NOT the white one.
Also make sure it's the Smoketech e-Power. The eGo e-Power's switch is NOT replaceable.
You can try a tank, but you will use a lot more juice, a decent tank (not the DCT) will blow a hole in your budget, and the cartos for tanks cost more unless you want to drill them yourself.

Hey QCCR imoh since you said that the epower 14650 is one option you are looking at i will say this i have had mine since 8/11 and it has not let me down yet & with you budget mad vapes has them pretty cheap and a large selection of cartos/atty & drip tips to choose from my batts last upto 8 hours i would look into a tank the 1.5ohm dct hit really well but with the epower you can use alot of different hardware just my two cents
remember tell someone what do and why.

I've heard good things about the e-power,, but I have a KGO and I love it! Huge step up from the little one you're using now. My KGO lasts me all day and then some. A complete kit is less than $50, and you could get two kits.. 4 batts and all the stuff and still have some leftover for juice. Just my two cents :2cool:

Here's something to consider:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...atube-premium-starter-kit-greenhouse-one.html

You can get three Lava Tube starter kits, and still remain within your budget. Plus free shipping.

OOPS -- never mind. It ships from China and it's not free (even though it says free shipping). I thought it was too good to be true.

Thanks for the link, this is what we ended up purchasing. The shipping was free until I applied the coupon code for the discounted prices. After that, Airmail was $16 or so, and EMS (Express Mail) was around $19.00. My total order for 2 VT Kits came to $98.98 (I chose EMS shipping). There was a separate charge for $2 and some change that was labeled Charge for international order. So in all, about $101 for 2 VT's, 4 atomizers, 10 cartridges and 4 batteries. The VT does not have any markings like the one direct from the manufacturer, but looks identical in every way.

So far it performs great. The Top Vapor spearmint liquid that I had on hand actually has flavor now (it was flavorless in my tececig). It still isn't my cup of tea, as I prefer a doublemint or menthol taste. I have tried various voltage levels but found 3.7 is about right for the spearmint liquid. I did have a few drops of Tececigs "Green Mint" left, and it tasted amazing a 4.5 volts. The spearmint liquid taste burnt at anything higher than 4.0, and the Green Mint tasted burnt at anything higher than 5.0 volts.

The cartridges and atomizer also do not have any markings indicating it's true VT product. I am unsure how many mah's the batteries are, and how many ohms the atomizer is. The cartridges only hold about 10 drops. I plan to buy some atty's/carts so I know how many ohms (VT is supposed to do best with 3.0 ohm single atty) and so I can hold more than 10 drops. The VT tubetank looks pretty sweet.

I am unsure rather the burnt taste is due to the vicosity of the liquid (top vapor is thicker than the tececigs), or if certain liquids have there sweet spot for voltage, or if the atomizers I got are not 3.0 ohms.

To sum things up, I am VERY happy with my purchase.

The ordering experience was nothing but EXCELLENT. Coming from China I expected a longer wait. I ordered at about 10 PM CST on April 2nd, and received my package at 10:00 AM April 7th. I got the tracking number on the 3rd, and it was already in Chicago customs by the 5th. Only 4 days and 12 hours coming from China is awesome.
