Power and Mute weren't the reason I made it. He knows what they are. It's his first flat screen and he's never had to deal with aspect ratios or select favorite channels before. But his eyesight isn't great so I think it will be helpful to have a large picture with the various buttons un-abbreviated.hmmm.... I think I need to do that with MY dad! It's always a "pleasure" to hear whatever it is he's watching whilst I struggle to hear what HE'S saying...![]()
His hearing, on the other hand, is non-existent. He plays the TV at volumes that could rival airplane take-offs. And his teeth are uncomfortable so he doesn't wear them when he's home alone. (He had all his own teeth until he was in his late 80s. His partial plate has never fit well but he doesn't want to deal with getting a new one.) Calling during a football game and trying to hear him over the TV and understand the mumbling is a major treat.
