And when you do get to feeling better.. I seriously need help trouble shooting my cartos.. I've tried everything I can think of..Still getting just barely there whispy vapor...It's my first time using cartos..But I've researched the heck out of troubleshooting/filling etc... and still not having luck...I need the daddy lol

a couple questions... are they getting hot? have you tried using them on the EPower? have you tried using them on different batts? what filling method did you use?

wait... do you have an EPower?

not important.

Have you tried more than one?

Yes they do get hot - However, theyre just barely vaping or not vaping at all.... I filled these 4 cartos with the cartomizer fillinator method ( seen the video lol) I was going to grab another and try a different method...But wasn't sure I should open another pack= go ask da daddy lol...I may have flooded them, which is why I made sure to blow out the center post. Wasn't long before I realized a > half a paper towel full of juice prolly meant I was now blowing out the liquid from the filler haha.. What do you mean by epower?... I'm testing them out on my prodigy1

Things I've tried > cleaning connections.. alternating equipment to make sure everything is working right...gently blowing them out to clear center tube.. clearing center tube slowly by inserting a safety pen.. adjusting the center pin to make sure the connections good

I did read a veteran suggesting > to gently enhale through the mouth piece end, I should get air ( got it)..then he said to do the samething but to cover the battery end with the tip of my finger - and I should still get air ( I dont), if not, the two side air holes are probably blocked or not drilled all the way through - I should see light through the holes ( I don't)...
So I tried using a needle on one of them and lightly pushing in the holes -seemed like it was working a lil better so I puhed it a little more thru - now doesn't work at all lol

sorry I'm so wordy..I know the more info you have the better

okay... I opened one up...

The two holes on the bottom aren't in a position to kill the carto by pushing a needle in... that was the 1st thing I looked at. I can't see that it matters, though. The air tube only sticks up about 1/4" into the carto.

Sticking anything up the center tube could deform the atty coils, but probably not seriously.

If you were to take one apart, you've got a sheet of wadding wrapped around the coil assembly. The coils themselves have some sort of pad between the coil wire and the wadding.

I looked at the fillinator vid, and the one thing that doesn't seem to jib for me is that there is no tube running the length of the carto, but I can envision how it would act like there is a tube.

I've been filling these by using a syringe/needle (always been my preferred method). I work the needle between the tube and the wadding and slowly injecting liquid to saturate the wadding. I'm trying to picture if filling from the inside out could be an issue that filling from the outside in isn't.

I'm also wondering if those pads around the coils (transfer pads?) could be over-saturated. They're not the same material as the wadding... more of a cloth-like material.

Your thought that you were blowing liquid out of the filler is a good one, and I suspect that you were indeed doing so. But it wouldn't clear those transfer pads... they're gonna hold on to liquid pretty well.

Another thought I had, but you already addressed, was to check that the center connecter extended a bit beyond the bottom of the threaded bit.

I'll replace the dead cartos, of course.

Do you have access to a syringe/needle? The needle gauge doesn't seem to be an issue... not too big of a bore, though, as that would be hard to work in between the tube and the wadding... I'm also going to grab one from this last batch I got and try it... the possibility that there's a fault in construction cannot be ignored.

OK.. Im going to try filling one with a syringe (I've studied all those vids) .. I also had bought one boge carto a while back/ I just filled that one for comparison... It could very well be those pad thingys holding too much juice like you said, that fillinator method is awesome for fast filling but looked somewhat aggressive, specially for someone new to cartos..

Going to go fill brb

ok, It started out slow.. but the DCC is definitely vaping a little better than the first ones I filled..However, I let it sit for a min then draw on it = nothing..So I'll "carborate it a few times and I get some vapor....
I then tried the boge, and its vaping really strong... I have no background with cartos so I have no reference on how much vapor they should be giving off... On thing I do notice is that you know how you can usually "hear" an atty fire up... Well the DCC is completely silent (is that normal?).. I filled it till wet at the top not pooled....Think I should let it sit a while?

I do like to let it set for a couple minutes before hitting it... not more than 5, though. It shouldn't take all that long for the transfer pads to get damp.

I just tried paying attention to the one I filled a few moments ago... it does sizzle after a few seconds...

I actually get about the same amount of vapor from these as I do a 3 ohm CE2 Clearomizer... it's a warmer vapor, though.

ok, I talked to deej on the phone ( sexy voice too lol) Trouble shooted a little more...Here's what I've found so far...The first 4 I filled, It's almost a given that I flooded them ( no firing what so ever lol)....

I am using the original Prodigy1 (from a yr or so ago)... I was getting no atty firing up sound when I pressed the button...For anyone trying these > we discovered that if I hold the button down for 4-5 seconds It does indeed fire up and produce more vapor...Deej tried a few from the new batch and his are working great. I will get my provari up and running this weekend and recheck it all out and report back..Thanks kitkatman!
