sln: I have funky tastebuds too, and have had similar experiences as you. Dj's juice is pretty flavorful, I order 150% PUSH on most everything. The only one I've had a problem with is the Cherry flavor plain. I simply can not taste this one at all. I've tried it at 125%, 150% and 200% and can hardly taste it. However, I also have the Cherry Champagne and Cherry Cheesecake and the cherry comes through wonderfully in both of these. They are my 2 of my 3 favorites, along with the Caramel Cappuccino.
I suggest you try small bottles of 150% before going any higher on flavor ..some flavors seem to get less flavorful as you go up. The cherry 200% is harder to taste than the Cherry 125% .. the 125 at least gives me a tiny hint of flavor, whereas the 200% is totally blank.

I've tried about 20 different flavors so far and I can taste them all 'cept the Cherry.

I know, it's weird, isn't it? I taste the cherry in the champagne and the cheesecake ... just plain cherry, nothing! This belongs on "Amazing Stories" or something .... is that show still on? lol

The one's I find with the most flavor are Tiramisu, sweet gingerbread, spiced peach, apocalyptic cinnamon blast and caramel coffee.

I don't do coffee or tobacco so those are out

had unpleasant experiences with orange, tiramisu(coffee) and caramel(old rotten coffee!). not a huge fan of the food gingerbread. don't really like the sound of grapefruit

Apocalyptic Strawberry Lemonade (what makes it apocalyptic as compared to the reg raspberry lemonade?)
Cherry Cola(have not been overly wild about other cola flavors I have tried)

butterscotch or choc taffy sounds good but I am afraid of possible coffee undertones
what flavors are in tutti fruity taffy? does it taste like fruit punch?
would mixing a chocolate and spearmint or peppermint taffy give me a choc mint flavor?
what do the indescribeables taste like?

I tend to be more attracted to baked good type flavors(SWEET tooth) so am having a harder time finding something. plus my bad experiences are clouding my decisions

I am thinking I will go with 200% and if its too strong, I have plenty of weak flavors to mix with

Deej has a drop down box when you are ordering where you select flavor strength ..
regular is 100%
Extra is 125% -One and a quarter times the flavor
Push is 150% - One and a half times the flavor
Nuclear is 175% - One and three-quarters the flavor
Apocalyptic is 200% - Twice the flavor

I order "push - 150%" to get one and one half times the flavor as regular.

I strongly urge you not to go to 200% ... doubling the flavor changes the chemical reactions and can have devasting effects on an otherwise good liquid. I couldn't taste anything at first and started ordering 200% on all my liquids only to find out that the 200% was making them taste horrible. I have more than 2 dozen juices that I originally ordered in 200% (from all companies, not just DeeJ) and liked them better at 100% Doubling the flavor doesn't always just mean making it stronger. Depending on what strength and chemical makeup of other ingredients, it can interact and cause a reaction that is not pleasant at all. x+xx doesn't equal 3x ... and sometimes something happens and it turns into xy.

That being said, you have to try one of the champagnes, and I recommend a cheesecake too (cuz cheezcakerulez) and I also like the Apocalyptic Cream.

The banana taffy is good...just like laffy taffy! I couldn't taste a coffee undertone in the butterscotch taffy.

The forest fruit to me is like a bunch of fruit mixed together.....it's a little different every time.

Bittersweet tears is great.....dark chocolate covered cherries...yummy!!!

If you like dessert flavors you need to get one of the cheesecake's!

Apocalyptic Strawberry Lemonade is called that because it's based on Apocalyptic Lemonade which is called THAT because I'm a Gun-totin' Kitty of the Apocalypse and was having fun with names.

No coffee is used in the Taffy line, although I suppose because taste buds are different from person to person somebody could detect a coffee-ish flavor.

Tutti Frutti is a flavor unto itself. Wikipedia says: Tutti frutti (from Italian, "all fruits", also hyphenated "tutti-frutti") is a colourful confection containing various chopped and usually candied fruits. The ice cream version uses cherries, raisins and pineapple, often augmented with nuts. Not much help...

Mixing a chocolate taffy with peppermint taffy would likely give you a mint chocolate with a taffy base... never tried it. Not too sure it'd work well with spearmint, though. To me, the nature of spearmint doesn't go well with chocolate.

The indescribable flavors are hard to pin down. Some say that Hypnotic Myst reminds them of Juicy Fruit gum. One Classy Mix is a fruit-based flavor with a tingle a few moments after exhale. Serenity Surprise is mildly sweet on the inhale with the flavor transforming in your mouth to a tangy one.

Spiced Peach is a very strong flavor that may serve you well.

For a sweet tooth, I strongly recommend Bluemel Caraberry !! Also, anything from the cheesecake line may serve you well also.
