Good Night!

 So cute, love this! Bunk beds.... :)

Gotcha!

hmmm... I wonder if carrying some ethyl maltol itself might be a thing to do. Now taking thoughts on this concept! :)

I know some other vendors that carry this or other sweeteners. I haven't used them myself, not to say I won't at some point, but just haven't needed it as of yet. I'm sure some might appreciate it?

sonic, the most common sweetener is malitol. You can get it as a flavoring from The Perfumer's Apprentice (TPA). It's their Cotton Candy flavor (if you ever buy Cotton Candy from another vendor, now you know.) They also sell malitol crystals if you want to dissolve your own. Most mixologists consider malitol a flavoring, just as strawberry is one, so you won't know if it's in any of their recipes unless you ask.

Next is liquid sucralose. That's the same stuff as Splenda. It does work well but I've used so much Splenda over the years that I've developed an allergic reaction to it so I always ask. (Deej does not use sucralose.)

Stevia is a natural sweetener that comes from the leaves of a plant. It's been used for thousands of years and should have been on the Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) FDA list but the powerful sugar lobby kept it out of food in this country. (It was "safe" as an additive but not as an ingredient -- and you think the FDA is capricious with their electronic cigarette rules.) That has finally changed and the Coca-Cola company markets it under the name "Truvia."

One of the advantages of stevia is that it doesn't change blood sugar levels so it's good for diabetics. You can buy it in liquid or powder. (It's so concentrated that the powder always has filler to add bulk.) The disadvantage is that it has a somewhat bitter aftertaste that takes getting used to. I dislike powdered stevia and primarily use the liquid in my coffee. The liquid version comes either in water or PG. (I have a lot of SweetLeaf's water-based stevia in the apartment. Their English Toffee flavor is great in coffee but I didn't have any luck using their unflavored water-based to sweeting my e-liquids. As soon as the atty got a smidge dry I started to get a flavor of pine needles which never went away.) I'm going to buy some PG-based to try again (you can find it cheap all over the web.)

I recently bought some TPA Brown Sugar flavoring but I don't think it's going to work. I'm sure it adds a hint of brown sugar as part of an e-liquid recipe, but to use it as a sweetener, you need to add too much.
