I am looking at picking up my first APV. I am looking at a Vamo.
I am wondering about the 18650 batteries and how to charge them.

What voltage charger should I get?
I see it recommends 4.2v charger, but does that mean that it will stop charging when it reaches 4.2v?

How long can the batteries sit on the charger?
I plan on switching them once a day at least, but If I can't...

I am just nervous about all these stories of them catching fire or destroying the battery.

It's good to be cautious, and everyone should be cautious, but most of the horror stories you hear are people that did stupid stuff. Don't do stupid stuff and you'll be fine.

Any decent charger you get will stop charging when the battery is fully charged so there's not much chance of over charging, but to be 100% safe it's best to go ahead and remove the battery at that point. There will almost certainly be an indicator that lets you know when that is.

And yes, 4.2v is the maximum for a 3.7 volt battery.
